I chose this company because I believed that having a licensed pool contractor meant the project would be completed professionally and that the license holder would stand behind the work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. While the licensed contractor’s name and license were associated with my project, much of the work was performed by subcontractors from Cool Pools LLC. I chose this company because I wanted to support a local business in Schulenburg. My pool deck installation began on June 24, 2024 and I paid a total of $ 20, 869.60. We have installed a pool before, so we have a good understanding of what to expect during the process. Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. I rarely leave reviews but I felt others needed to be warned, especially with how costly of an investment this is. The excitement of having an above ground pool installed to enjoy this summer quickly turned into a nightmare full of frustration. When we picked out the liner in February, we asked for a lighter color but was told there was only one color option. I cannot tell you how frustrating the experience has been. The people are nice and response time varies depending on whom you work with there. We are in the middle of trying to resolve the issues so won’t go through the whole thing here— but they send a different person every week, are extremely busy, have up charges for everything added to their most expensive in class maintenance plan to start out with. please do not ever use this company! Started the process in October and we are no where near done. Communication is terrible. We might get someone to come out once or twice a month to work. Owner takes no responsibility and is rude. Luckily we have been able to connect with others in our area that are having the same issues and to no surprise they are using the same finance company that Outdoor Living recommended so they have our money and we have no pool ang no timeline to get it completed. Master Touch refinished our pool in 2022, we have some issues with the grout, called Master Touch for a warranty claim or quote to replace but was told to call someone else. I guess they don't stand behind their work or too small of a job to care.
I feel so bad because this was the best pool store in southern ct. You don’t mind paying when you get quality products great customer service and the most knowledgeable in the industry. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. This is what happens many times when a owner that put maybe 20,30 + years of blood sweat and tears into building a business only to see new owners put profit above everything else forget what made the business what it was and destroy it.
