I got the keys and signed my lease yesterday. I went over to house to sweep today and start cleaning and noticed a lot wrong, especially when I was told the carpets were professionally cleaned as they weren’t in a bad enough state of needing replaced (although the tenants before seemed to live there for 5 years according to Zillow) and the house was painted. I have been waiting for maintenance to replace a window in my apartment for 8 wks and every time I report it again and again I get a email stating it is complete. My contract stays MOST maintenance request is 7-14 repair time. I no it don’t take 8 wks to replace a piece of glass… I 1st reported on May 7th. They came and took the window out and I only have a piece of broken looks to be paneling over the window! Horrible place to work. Horrible management and no one does anything about it. They keep letting the good people go and keeps the lazy ones that don’t think they need to work. They don’t pay their workers or contractors.

They moved me into a home that did not pass an inspection with code enforcement. It’s very hard to get in contact with someone who can help. There’s mold in the basement , the frame of the home is not correct, the home floods when it rains, the roof needs replaced, stairs and sidewalks are hazards, and the plumbing is terrible. The neighbors have told me that they can’t keep tenants in this home and now I see why. I have not even lived in this home for 30days yet and I’m already ready to put my rent in escrow.

I AM A HOME OWNER, and this company is buying up property and charging crazy prices to renters, while moving trashy people into them, while the home owners around here suffer. It's awful. They could care less as long as there pockets are fool of cash. I think I'm goin to start goin to the town meetings, and do something about this bunch. Slumlords just the tip of the iceberg.. Stay away from company!!! My cousin who is a mother of 3 and an LPN taking care of children herself and just wanted a nice home close to a school to get her kids to and from filled out application along with fee and proper credentials needed to apply (making well over what was expected for rent) Actually was the 1st to fill the application out (cause we watched website for posting THIS particular home) all for her to wonder why she heard no response so we reached out for them to tell her she didn't complete application. Vinebrook rented a house on our street to a person with two pit bull dogs. These two pit bulls have attacked 4 separate dogs in the neighborhood. The renter doesn't always have the dogs on a leash and they are vicious. One of the pit bulls jumped a fence and attacked a dog in it's own yard. It's my understanding the renter is not allowed to have dogs at the property. People are scared to death to walk their dogs on the street for fear of being attacked. I was overcharged a sewer bill. They charge me every month on the 20th for the sewer that is added to monthly rental payment. Well now I’m 3 month behind on a payment I make regularly. They told me they won’t charge me yet the still charged me and are trying to force me to sign a payment agreement to state I owe when I paid. The won’t remove the charge of my account, so I can pay my rental payment and are trying to evict me. When they admitted I didn’t owe but some how I still do. I wish they never took over my property.
