The sound quality and overall connection quality could be better. The app loads too slowly to actually answer an incoming call. The locked screen controls need to include the mute button. It would be great to be able to listen to voicemail in the app, and turn off the old voicemail notification e-mail. I'm glad Vonage added the second free Extension line. The French localization needs quality control.
It has too many dropped phones :-( and App is not as smooth as it needs to be. I think it needs lots of processing power and RAM 😱
As others have said the app works fine. Call quality is great if you have a good connection. The problem is that the app takes too long to open and answer a call. So by the time it finally answers the incoming call, you've missed the call. Unless you happened to have the app open in advance. Too bad.
When receiving a call the app does not open in time to answer the call. If you plan on using the app while traveling I recommend installing it on your phone before you travel and get your phone verified for use. Then when you switch your SIM card to the international carrier it will continue to work. The app is still clunky, it takes too long to load and I recommend having very high speed Wi-Fi because when used with your cell signal it is too slow.
You get what you pay for I guess. When I try to use the app for calls, I get the following problems: calls don't go through; when answering I can't hear anything; when dialing sometimes only one side of the conversation can be heard. AND why isn't there an option to retrieve voicemail. Please rewrite this piece of crap. I use an iPhone 5.
The apps is slow, drops calls, miss complete calls. You can't text to the number and the sound quality is horrible. For a VOIP company this is not a good app or system stay away!
The extensions app works well, once you manage to install it. However, there is one important detail which vonage fails to disclose anywhere, including its websites: the extensions app can only be used on North American phones. I recently moved overseas and signed up for vonage explicitly for the ability to receive calls on the extensions app while overseas. Alas, it doesn't register on non-us numbers and the tech support is not helpful in explaining why this policy is necessary considering it requires only a data connection... read more
Really really bad voice quality even with high speed internet.. Can't even hear anything
Long time Vonage user and love the service. Prior to getting the Watch I used Extensions frequently however while the Watch connects with Extensions I can't answer incoming calls. It does not offer an answer option!
