I want to use this app when I am outside of the US on business. I have local SIM cards for the other countries I visit (UK, Germany, etc.). Unfortunately this app does not let you use a US vonage account with a non-US SIM card.
When someone calls my house phone this app is supposed to "forward" the call to my cell. It works but takes WAY TOO LONG to make it worthwhile. I've tested it. I had someone call my house number while I was sitting at home on my couch with my cell. My house phone rang four times. Nothing happened on my cell phone. On the fifth ring the call was forwarded to my cell. I received a notification on my lock screen that I was receiving a call thru Vonage extension. This app has given me constant dropped calls and people not being able to listen to me. I can't even hear them clearly! Even after the update I am having huge problems! Come on Vonage I have been with you guys for almost 5 years now! Fix this issue. I freaking sell your product. This just makes me reluctant to sell it to other people. It doesn't work the way it should 90% of the time!
This app would have much more value if it did a better job updating the Recent calls list. Hasn't recorded any calls for two weeks. Should also provide more caller id data and make it very easy to block calls from telecreeps. Answering calls is much too slow. You have to unlock the phone, find the app, and open it before you can answer, if the caller hasn't hung up. Vonage calls should be as easy to answer as cell phone calls.
Do not use these guys they Make promises they cant deliever and wifi calling is a pain to set up dont use there service.
The point of getting Vonage is to keep a US phone line while living overseas. When you live overseas you get a local cellphone number unless you're wealthy (and like wasting money). However, this app only works with US and Canadian cellphone numbers. Pointless.
Just updated,try plug u handset and make phone call,the notice sound on extension will kill u ears .bad design.
I have been using this app for quite a while, but I am very disappointed with the current version. I am not able to call any cell phones abroad since the upgrade. It also doesn't connect to my car's Bluetooth anymore.
Most of the times getting problem with call disconnect and quality of the app.
