I love going to WA Frost. It is the perfect place to visit for many different types of occassions. Is is our top place to meet. Four long time friends for brunch. Location-PERFECT. It's a central location for all of us to meet. The setting is lovely. It is relaxing and feels so cozy and welcoming. There are many places to be tucked away to chat and not be bothered by noise. The service is always wonderful. The staff are so gracious. The food is absolutely yummy! It is creative and flavorful. It is the best part of the experi... read more
We don't get here are much as we should (we're from Mankato). So we finally got around to eating here after too long. We've always enjoyed it, but the cuisine has become more innovative. They've also joined the trend towards offering most of their entrees in 'micro' (half sized) portions; likewise the deserts. Highly recommended.
WE'd not been to WA Frost in a long time and were pleased with food and the service. The pulled pork sandwich was very good and the pumpkin soup delightful! My lunch partner chose the mussels - a very large portion for an appetizer and pronounce quite tasty. We will back!
Wonderful ambiance, gourmet food, and great service. Perfect evening. All of this made the special occasion even more meaningful and special.
Fabulous waiter! We stopped going to Frosts a couple of years ago because we had a TERRIBLE waitress one evening and she knew we were celebrating a birthday. Wish we knew our waiters name but we do know he has been there fourteen years in Feb. We noticed our food was delivered by the waitress we had last time and she was rude even doing that!
This place was a great fit for our business dinner. We had a semi private "room" and were able to close the doors off on one end to give us more privacy. The wait staff was on top of it all night while keeping a good distance. We will be back again in the future. There are several fireplaces around the various dining rooms and they are kept very clean and smoke was only a hint in the air. If you don’t like the smell of smoke you won’t even notice. If you do like it, you will want more. I think they have found the perfect bal... read more
We had business guests from out of town asking for a recommendation for dinner. Of course we said Frosts, knowing the food was delicious. However, they had to wait 45 minutes from the time they were seated until someone even took their order.
We had forgotten about this venerable place. The food was delicious, well prepared, innovative. Service was friendly and accommodating. The decor is elaborate in a Victorian style, reflecting the era of construction. The only criticism we had was that the choices for entrees were pretty limited, especially for meat dishes.
Wanted a romantic restaurant for our 3 year anniversary and WA Frost certainly provided a vintage romantic feel. Unfortunately neither my wife nor I really enjoyed our experience. The entree listing was small and mostly fish. Portions are very small. We probably had the worst table in the place. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable and mine was half on a rug and half off. There was no way to change this given that we were wedged into a corner of the restaurant. The clientele skewed old and the dining room was super quiet... read more
