We came to WA Frost on advice of friends for our wedding anniversary. I wanted a restaurant that had some atmosphere but also a menu that my husband would like (he is not a foodie). We found both at WA Frost. The summer salad was outstanding with a variety of summer vegetables and tastes. We found a bottle of wine easily that complemented both pork and fish. I always love coming to WA Frost because it is classy and elegant. But beyond that it has outstanding food and wide selection of beverages. I am never disappointed in the service. Our family along with small children has come there for brunch with great success. The outdoor patio is a treat. Thank you for being there as a mainstay for the St. Paul and Twin Cities' pleasure.

My husband and I came out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary dinner and, while it was good, it wasn't outstanding like we had gotten the last time we did the tasting menu. The wine and beer pairings were off and the portion sizes were quite a bit smaller even though it was the same price. I doubt we'll be back for a long time and if we do, we likely won't get the tasting menu or trust any wine pairings that are suggested.

We had a very enjoyable meal. Our waiter knew all about the menu items and made recommendations. Service was prompt.

We took out of town guests to Frost because it so epitomizes St. Paul. They loved it, the food and the service and so did we.

Although we enjoyed the patio and nothing really tops the atmosphere, our food and service were very disappointing. Our server could not seem more not interested in us, and the gnocchi was absolutely horrible. We couldn't even eat it! We will come back, but only for a cocktail so we can enjoy the ambiance.

We had a party of four for a special family dinner, and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We got the chef's tasting and the food was exquisite! We couldn't have asked for a better tasting--simply phenomenal! This is my second visit to this restaurant and I have recommended it to everybody. Initially our server seemed a bit stiff, but shortly after, he seemed more relaxed and friendly. I've had more good meals here than not good and unfortunately, Saturday lunch was not very good. We were celebrating a birthday.. I recommended the pulled pork sandwich as the one I had there a few weeks ago was wonderful. This time, the meat was dry and barely seasoned and unfortunately, 3 people at our table ordered it. We had to request extra jus or sauce to moisten the meat and to add some taste... I really want to love WA Frost again, as I did for so many years, but it just isn't working out right now.
