Were there for anniversary and had a wonderful time. The pork chop was divine, and it is easy to mess up a chop. The halibut was excellent, too. We brought our own wine, but the wine list is extensive and varied. We somehow managed to save room for dessert which was the crème brulee. It was a bit chill on the inside, but otherwise terrific.
I was very disappointed. The server was very good. But the food was very poor for restaurant food. I can cook better at home.
This restaurant is best when dining outside. If that is your preference.....great ! Otherwise, for the average food and high price, you can do better elsewhere.
We had a WONDERFUL dining experience. The "micro plates" is a wonderful option, as it gives a small portion for people - like us - who also wanted to try a cheese tray and a dessert.
I always feel transported when dining at WA Frost. The ambiance and decor are just beautiful. It's a very charming place and I go there at least once a year for my birthday. The only thing I missed this year was the chicken entree that is only served for dinner now, not lunch. Overall, though, I had a great experience.
I had never been to WA Frost and several friends raved to me about how wonderful it is. They are right! I brought a friend from Pittsburgh who has never been to Minnesota before and she loved the restaurant so much she is going to tell all her foodie friends that MN needs to be on their bucket list!
I tried a new dish I would not have thought to try without the recommendation from the server! It was delicious and I can't wait to return.
The patio is beautiful. I would go back because the menu is always changing and they always have interesting selections.Our server was kind and pleasant, but the food came out very slowly. We were seated at 12 and didn't get any food until 1:00. Most of the food was excellent, but some was overcooked. It was a birthday celebration and they offered a mini dessert on the house with a candle. Nice touch.
We enjoyed trying new foods and the beauty of the old building. The service was great and we had a really great time!
