WA Frost's is one of my long-time favorite St. Paul restaurants. It's a special place with interesting, delicious food and friendly service.
Being in a wheelchair always presents a problem, especially in a turn of the century building. The staff was great although having never been to this restaurant, there was only one seating hostess and the restaurant was very busy. The tables were a bit close together even for able bodied people but every table was full. The wine list is incredible, the most comprehensive I've seen in this town. Our family of 5 had a wonderful meal to celebrate our middle son's graduation from the University of St. Thomas. After feasting on all the delightful and delicious food, we walked over to the Cathedral of St. Paul for the Baccalaureate Mass. Our waitress Phoenix was gracious and lovely. A truly memorable evening!
I never order chicken but the server suggested it and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I was blown away by the depth of flavors and the quality of this meal. I can't wait to go back and get it again!
Lovely back patio. Inside is a bit dark and frumpy. Good lamb BLT and halibut cakes at lunch. Service was extremely slow. Waited a long time just to have someone ask us what we wanted to drink. More long waiting after that to get our iced teas and more waiting again to get our food. Server was pleasant and friendly as was the hostess..
We were there before confirmation at the cathedral. Dinner was just what you expect-- wonderful!!!! The fixed price menu from 5-6 was a wonderful surprise! I think we have a new family tradition!

Service, Food & Ambience are wonderful at WA Frost. Huge selection of wine's from around the world & a wide variety of food. Marble top tables and open brick walls with historical paintings make the restaurant feel special.
