WARNING!!! Senior dogs will be charged $50 EXTRA per day! That's being aegis against senior dogs who they say "require extra care including 1x1 individual play time with a human. Mind you this is on top of their daily rate. My dog is 14 but is still independent and can still function without any assistance. Price gouging at its finest! Avoid at all costs and try some other business!

Business response:

Hello Barney, We are sorry to hear about the experience you had with us. Thank you for letting us know your concerns about pricing. Our special care program caters to dogs over 13 and dogs who have medical needs/ prefer humans over other dogs. We require guests over thirteen to partake in our special care program so that we can closely monitor their behavior, eliminations, and general health as an older dog's health can change drastically. Everything we do at Wag Hotels is in the guest's best interest and as the program... read more

I booked a boarding reservation during the Thanksgiving holiday via the mobile app. I received an email confirmation that it was approved. I wanted to make sure the reservation was set, so I called to confirm. The lady confirmed over the phone that my reservation was approved. When I went to drop off my senior dog, the lady working the front desk questioned me about my dog's medication. I told her the medication is to treat high blood pressure. She was persistent in asking me if my dog has a heart murmur, even after I repeat... read more

My frenchie stayed at the wag hotel because we were going out the country for my moms 70th birthday. When we arrive at the place when you walk in the facility lobby it's very nice. Because we were going out the country I asked to get a tour of the type of room she would be in. When we walked to the back I immediately was kind of thrown off because it just wasn't a clean environment once I got passed the doors. There were 2 carts that I seen with food on each level that must of have been cleaned up out the rooms. We had no ch... read more

Business response:

Hi Meek, I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We use airline carts to dispense food to all the dogs boarding in our facility for efficiency and to meet their individually dietary requirements. We are a working facility and allow clients to see behind the scenes unlike most boarding facilities so things like janitorial carts, airline carts and commercial floor scrubbers are in view and part of our everyday use. We take every reasonable step to ensure your pet in safe and healthy minimize the risk of illness but can no... read more

I was called by 2 different staff members several times after I posted this review. I was told that my dog was dropped off between shifts, and when their daily shift change happens, the dogs are left alone in their rooms for that hour or two. My dog is anxious, I specifically chose the 1 on 1 option, as I thought it would be an awesome way to lessen her anxiety while I went to my doctors appointments. But she wasn't even given one on one time. She was just alone in her room for the few hours she was there. The website needs... read more

Business response:

Hello Paige, I hope you and Suzi are doing well. We do our best to keep all our guest clean and will give them a bath before going home if we noticed they have gotten a bit dirty. We did not catch this on time as she had rolled on her urine not too long before she was picked up from us. If you wish to try us again we would be happy to offer another free day along with a complimentary bath. I can guarantee your experience will change your mind about our quality of care for your furry baby Suzi. Best Regards, Norma B Cli... read more

Absolutely terrible. We boarded our dog here and he got a scratch on his face from another dog. They called and let me know, but never sent a picture. They said he was mounting and the other dog mouthed his face. Totally understandable, I know dogs will be dogs sometimes. The next day I got a call from OAKvet telling me my dog had been brought in and would need about 10 stitches in his mouth/face. I thought it was a scratch? Nope. This was a new incident. They put my dog in a playgroup AGAIN with the dog who had al... read more

Business response:

Hi Bo, We're sorry Buddha was injured. We do our best to ensure the safety of our guests but incidents like this although rare do happen. After he was injured we immediately took him to Oakvet after my Client Service people called you to notify you of the incident. We pulled the dog responsible for the injury from the group and contacted the owner for your vet bills incurred and waived your stay as a courtesy. I was told they sent you photos but I'm sorry that you didn't receive them. Unfortunately, Oakvet deemed that his ... read more

Our dog stayed six hours at this place, only to come home with fleas and a lot of stress. We were excited to try daycare, especially as she is a very social puppy. However, what we saw in the video feed was disappointing: 25 stressed out dogs in a large empty room, without any enrichment, relieving themselves directly onto the floor... which an employee wipes only once in a while by dragging a wet cloth across the room. The facility strongly smells like urine and obviously does not screen dogs for fleas. Fortunately our dog ... read more

We've used Wag for both the All Day Play daycare and overnight boarding (4 days/3 nights); I don't plan on bringing my dog back here again. The All Day Play daycare session was our first experience, and things seemed to have gone well. It's tough to see your dog clearly on any of the Wag Cams since they're situated in the corners of a very large room or outside yard so everything is fuzzy and it can be tough to identify your dog (my dog is a black shepherd and there were like 10 other black similar sized dogs). When we pic... read more
