Please do yourself a favor and do not board your dog here. Our 6lb toy poodle is normally very easy to take care of but she was left without water for over 6+ hours and they left poop in her "private room" which also indicates to us she was not let out on a walk as advertised in the package as she has been trained not to go inside and goes almost immediately when outside. My Chloe was at Wag Hotel for a week over Thanksgiving 2022. When I brought her home, I found that she had a sore that was a few days old on top of her nose. It kind of blended with the brown color of her nose, so I didn't notice it when I picked her up. Also, she has significant weight loss. Don't know the numbers yet, but I had tighten her harness 4 inches around her body and 3 inches around her neck. Scary. Chloe is aggressive chewer, she has an extremely hard chew bone. I've given this location one too many chances. We typically take our dog here once or twice a week for all day play and he usually enjoys it (as far as we can tell). The dogs are placed in their individual crates/kennels starting at 6:30pm, so we've been told, and we strategically craft our schedules around this in order to pick up our dog prior to being placed in solitary. Oh look, more untrained and unprofessional staff at the front desk. Shocker. I keep giving them a chance because they do have some great employees there, but the few that have such an ugly personality really ruin the experience. They really hire anyone to work at this hotel. You'd probably be better off not leaving your pet here. The front staff is sooooo rude and uneducated on their work place's events. I had tried to register earlier in the week and then called to ask about their new pet registration process. The person on the phone said they don't usually do temperament tests, to just bring the dog in for all day care and they can check her socialization there. Last night I tried to log in to the site to reserve a spot just in case, it would not take my credentials. DO NOT EVER EVER BRING YOUR PET HERE!!! Please please please never trust them. I thought this was a one off thing with my experience but after recently seeing so many people come out and talk about their experiences this clearly is the normal for wag hotels!! These poor creatures must be treated so awful. I brought my dog there while we went on vacation and after we got back, he was throwing up all over our house days following and was scared whenever we left the house and had attachment issues to us for months to come!! don't typically leave reviews but I want to ensure someone else doesn't go through what we did. This is the second time using Wag Hotel in Santa Clara and it will be our last. The first time our German Shepherd (Faith) stayed at Wag Hotel, there were no issues. The only concern we had was the lack of communication on how she did. If I could give Wag Hotels ZERO STARS I would. After leaving my golden retriever at Wag Santa Clara, I must let you know that Wag Hotels is NOTHING like they used to be. My golden retriever was in the "all day play" on Saturday and he has been VOMITING ever since. Both the ER vet and our primary vet say he was under COMPLETE STRESS. The CAMERAS at Wag were NOT WORKING after 1:30pm and there is no way to get a hold of anyone at the hotel.
