What a disappointment. They've gone from best in class to worst. The biggest problem is they a understaffed. I phoned the office for 4 hours, left messages and NO REPLY! Finally called the San Francisco facility to find out what was going on they did not offer an explanation or offer of assistance, but I received a call back soon after. A bad omen greets you (or doesn't greet you) there is no longer a sign on the street to tell you where they are located which is badly hidden behind a row of business. There are plenty... read more

Brought my dog here for an all day play ~7 hours -- everything was great, we saw her on webcam but when we picked her up, she has been coughing and sneezing. It's now been a couple days and the cough is still prevalent - it sounds like she got kennel cough. I've read a number of dogs leave WAG with kennel cough - this is not how I want my dog boarded - in a place where kennel cough seems to be as prevalent as Covid.

I paid extra for special care for my 10 month old dog in heat. Picked her up this morning and the worker was rude and had no idea about anything to do with my dog!! She had dried blood all over her, she had not been wiped down or anything!! She's never going back!

This location is painfully disorganized. Daycare is salvageable most times but boarding is a huge overpriced mess. The staff, while relatively nice, is not well trained on their policy, procedure and pricing. They provide little to no update on my dogs stay for daycare or boarding. This seems to be a common occurrence from my conversations with other pet parents. Heard good things about Wag Hotels, so we decided to try out the West Sacramento location. We also really liked the flexibility for pick up / drop off. First visit: signed up for all day play again really nice to have flexible drop off / pick up times. Was excited to try a new doggy daycare, staff seemed professional, and caring. Facility was clean and well kept based off of wag cam footage (another plus or negative depending). Dropped off 8 am and picked up around 6. I had been looking for a place to board my Old English Bulldog. A friend told me to try Wag Hotel as that's the place they take their dog. I took my dog in for her assessment on 8/01/2020. She spent the afternoon visiting Wag Hotel for doggie daycare, and the staff said she did well. The staff were nice at the facility. I need someone from The Wag to call me back please. I've tried calling their 888 number and their 800 number and get recordings. Then it says to enter "1" for Northern CA Wag....then "1" for West Sac Wag....then a recording comes on and says "please enter the extension of the person you wish to reach".....and when you have no idea what the extension of the front desk it, the voice then says "thank you" and hangs up! Say what????

Not as great as the photos look online. My dog suffers from separation anxiety, she barely had any human contact the two days/1 night she was there even though they were aware of her issues. We told them when she needed her meds and they said they had their own schedule for giving meds... whatever that means. Her "private suite" looked like a prison cell, no extra blankets (which we were told they could add for her to help her feel a bit cozier), they didn't put her thunder shirt on at night like we asked. My dog got bloat while in daycare and no one noticed the symptoms and never called me. Long time coming for this review. I was traveling through the Bay Area visiting friends and family for the holidays (12/30). I thought it would be great to quit shuffling my great dane from place to place and instead give him a fun day of play while I did my rounds.
