I booked a 2 night stay for our two dogs, a lab and a pitbull mix. If I went by the notifications it would seem they had a fantastic stay. However, I watched the video like a hawk day one (when I could as the video would go out/offline often) only to find that my lab was put on time out almost immediately after dropping him off. (there were no notes entered into the app, no comments given when picking them up, and nothing noted at all about "bad behavior"). I have been a customer of Wag for the past couple of years with relatively good results. Awhile back it was brought to my attention, that Wag offered a very generous first responder discount. I registered for the discount in person and that is when the problems began. Since having my account updated to reflect the discount status, I have not been able to successfully book a reservation. Horrible experience, as always. For this last visit, I am going to blame myself for giving Wag Hotel another chance thinking they might actually change or care about my dogs, but their actions proved otherwise. In February 2024 I boarded my two dogs (Boston Terrier and Frenchie) from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. Slow, unhelpful,unorganized, every time I drop my dog off here they mess something up. So sick of this place, the staff barely try, and their scheduling is a joke. Also the app doesn't work, they will force you to use it but Call them! And even then they probably won't get it right as I am reminded of everytime I drop my dog off. This is the only place of its kind here in Sacramento and it's lucky for that. Otherwise they would have lost my business years ago. If you can find another place do it!

We have been going to Wag for many years with mostly mediocre service. I've never thought that it was a great place to board, but it is convenient off the freeway. My last experience was, to put it lightly, another disappointment. I called Wag Hotel in West Sacramento to reserve a one night boarding. Upon arrival, they told me their representative booked my stay in Oakland and the West Sacramento facility had no rooms available. No small/medium/large/suites or ultra suites available. Unfortunately, me and my husband do not trust wag hotel. We dropped our dog off and our dog stayed three days when we drop the dog off she was perfectly fine when we picked her up her right eye was closed , I asked the staff what happened to our dog eye they had no explanation, please don't put your fairy love one through the agony

We used to take our dogs here. But now it seems like big business has taken over, unfortunately. In trying to arrange for a kennel stay for my dog, I was left on hold for very long time, and then was rudely hung up on. I would never take my dog here if they treat me like that. My dog can't report what goes on when he's there, and I'm left relying on the people, who I now don't trust.

If you like your care facilities cold and uncaring like an Apple Store and having your dog treated like a retail transaction WAG might be your place. Anyone who loves their dog and wants those who provide care to also like dogs should look elsewhere. Nothing about the attitude approach policies would indicate anyone here likes dogs. The sour faces staff are NOT welcoming and their approach to care is worse. Steer clear. We bring our dogs here for play and grooming. Last year they cut one of our dog's dew claws and had to send her home with a bloody bandage wrapped around her leg. We decided to give them a break and write it off as a one time thing. Today, we came home from grooming and saw that our dog had one eye almost shut and was oozing puss and tears.
