If you have an option to go elsewhere for an MRI, you should consider it. I had a pre-surgery MRI and was very surprised to receive a bill for $200+ for co-insurance from Washington Radiology. Mind you this is after BCBS paid their $300 share. The bill arrived claiming that the overall cost of a 20 minute MRI was $1800. I paid the $200 bill figuring there is no option, but I would like them to know that my co-insurance for the entire $9000 surgery was only $185. In my opinion, they overcharged me. They should inform pe... read more

Most of the staff were very friendly and I didn't have to wait long, which is why I gave this place two stars instead of one. I'm very upset with the way the radiologist treated me. When he came in to tell me the results of my sonograms, he was unwilling to answer any questions and, no exaggeration, told me to google my condition. Not okay.

Business response:

Dear Talia, We are so sorry to hear about this. We are going to pass this along directly to the Director of the K Street location so she can speak with your radiologist about how he spoke with you. We definitely understand your concern and take this seriously. If you would like to speak with the Center Director and tell her more about what happened, please send us an email to feedback@washingtonradiology.com with your contact information, and she will reach out to you directly to hear your story. We wish you the best.

I had a very upsetting experience getting a mammogram at 2141 K office. The tech took me into the mammogram room and told me to take off the gown. I had never been asked to take it off before. She repeated "TAKE IT OFF" when I questioned her. So I did. I stood there naked from the waist up. Then she turned her back to tend to paper work and then turned back to me with a series of questions. There I stood without a top answering questions. I felt demeaned and humiliated. She then started barking commands trying to position me... read more

Business response:

Dear Susan, We are so very sorry to hear of the experience you had at your appointment. That is not the experience we want our patients to have at an appointment that should give them peace of mind. The Director of the K Street office has spoken with you to hear about what happened and will be re-training the staff on all of the issues you brought up so no one has to experience that in the future from any of our technologists. We wish you the best.

If I could give them zero stars I would. This place is dirty and nasty. You could see mouse poo on the floor. Their patient service sucks. I sat in a room with five other women all of us in our paper robes and I waited over two hours for a mammogram. I have been to other places where I was treated with a hot robe a private room and a serious consultation. I came in with an order only look at my left breast because my other one is gone due to a mastectomy. She Literally looked at my face and said we're doing the right breas... read more

I am frustrated with this office. All I'm trying to do is be proactive about my health and scheduling my annual mammogram. A little over 1.5 years ago I had my very first one, and had to go through several rounds of screening to establish my baseline due to my dense tissue. It was quite scary but the end result is that there was nothing for me to be concern about. I had my last mammogram last year with the understanding that I could resume an annual screening schedule and that no additional paperwork from my doctor is needed... read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. BUYER BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They are FRAUD. I made an appointment and spoke to two staff members. One of those ladies was a supervisor in the insurance department who told me that they accept my insurance and that both my mammogram and ultrasound procedures would be covered by my insurance. Today (almost three months later) I got a bill for $357.66. This place is fraud. I don't recommend them to anyone. Stay away from this crappy place. I was lied to by staff who told ... read more

After a horrible experience with my mammogram and missing paperwork for a follow up, I demanded my records and left the office to seek treatment elsewhere. It was frightening and horrible. I decided to let the issue go, but yesterday I received a letter via CERTIFIED MAIL (which I had to go sign for) shaming me for not having a follow up visit. As I shared in my letter to the company, "You should be ashamed of the way you have chosen to operate. I hope that this causes someone to take a step back and take a very hard l... read more

Washington Radiology sent me a letter saying I need supplementary imaging studies. They claim they called me 2 days later but got a fax number and sent a letter. My landline isn't a fax nor connected to one and I didn't get the first letter. They did the same thing a first years ago Breast health is important and deserves assertive and persistent outreach. WRA fails.

DON'T GO THERE FOR HEAD EXAMS! Went there for a head CT. The report said, without any hesitation or nuance that I had a 5 mm brain lesion in my brain and should do an MRI to find out what that was. My physician was very concerned and said I should see a neurologist as soon as possible. My family and I spent a week in hell, being worried sick (a brain lesion is always something very serious: tumor, cancer...). My wife cried almost every day, saying she did not want to raise the kids alone... When I finally saw a very experien... read more
