Washington Radiology failed to provide a CT scan due to bad booking practices. Wouldn't go there even if my life depends on it! Terrible experience. Humble suggestion: Avoid it at all cost.

If you are willing, please send us your contact information to feedback@washingtonradiology.com, and they will reach out to you as soon as possible. Went in for a CT. Insurance company notified me that CT was changed to CT/CTA. No notification given. Results of CT sent to 3 doctors. Now have to get results of CTA and forward. Show up and be told that it's nice I dressed up for CT but I need to put on gown. Note, was in work clothes and not dressed up. Blanket thrown on me before CT and I asked to have it removed. Was told that "everyone wants one" but I did not and would have liked a question first. Had other CTs. This place more expensive. Requires 5 days wait for ins... read more

Waited 45 minutes past my appointment time, to get in for "follow up". I was informed that although I asked for a 2d image for my mammogram, they charged me for a 3 D. $50 more expensive and I didn't authorize it. Not patient oriented. My technician read a script, gave me the worst and most painful mammo I've ever had. Find somewhere else. WRA used to be top notch, not anymore. Technicians aren't trained to reduce pain in any way and they're not patient oriented.

Business response:

Dear Rebecca, We value your feedback and are sorry to hear about the pain you experienced. We would like to look into what happened with the technologist and also look at your bill so we can fix it if it was not done correctly. In order to look at your account, we would appreciate it if you could send us your contact information and date of birth to feedback@washingtonradiology.com, and we will reach out to you as soon as possible. We wish you the best, and we hope to get this resolved for you soon.

Receptionist was extremely rude. Rolled her eyes at me when she called my name and I didn't hear her the first time because she muttered it so quietly. Got interrogated about the referral/form from my doctor, even though the paperwork was clear. Couldn't answer any questions about insurance/billing and my appointment started 30 minutes late, despite me arriving early and bringing all the necessary forms, already filled out. The woman who took me back to a separate waiting area was also gruff and unpleasant. Took me into the ... read more

I went to Washington Radiology because the location was convenient. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! Once I got into the room for the procedure and the woman came in, I asked her if she was going to do the procedure and I expressed that I was a bit scared to get it done. She just walked out!!!!!!!! No explanation, not one word!!!!!!! Another woman came in and continued with my appointment. I told the second woman what had just occurred. She said she would speak to her. But it was horrifying to express your fears only to have the tech ... read more

Have been at WRA for more than 2 hours now, even though I had a 9 am appointment. They were already behind schedule for MRIs, and then I was told it would take a little while to get my images handed to me on a CD. Now it has been more than an hour for that. If I had known it was going to take this long, I would have come back later to get it. Would have been 1 star but for how nice the techs were. My insurer already suggested I could go somewhere more affordable. Now I know for next time.

Business response:

Dear Emily, We are very sorry that you have had to wait so long at your appointment. We always try our best to get patients in and out in a timely manner, but unfortunately, sometimes things take longer than expected. If you would like to speak with the office leadership regarding your experience, please send us your contact information to feedback@washingtonradiology.com. We hope to hear from you soon, and we wish you the best.

This review is specifically about the nightmare of parking at Washington Radiology's location on Fernwood Drive in Bethesda. The parking facility basically doubled its rates a few years ago, so I've learned to cut things close: if I get there five minutes before my annual mammogram appt, I can get out in an hour -- thereby paying four dollars, rather than the INSANE price of $8.00 for one to two hours. But no: I love the staff at Washington Radiology, so when they asked me to fill out a survey at their little machine by the ... read more

Business response:

Dear Marilyn, We are very sorry that the parking situation and cost ruined your experience. In addition, we understand that your time is very important, and we did not mean to keep you longer than you needed. We are working on our survey system so the buttons work better and more quickly, and we will also look into the parking situation so our patients do not have to pay such high rates. If you would like to speak further about this, please send us your contact information to feedback@washingtonradiology.com-- the Center Dir... read more

If you have an option to go elsewhere for an MRI, you should consider it. I had a pre-surgery MRI and was very surprised to receive a bill for $200+ for co-insurance from Washington Radiology. Mind you this is after BCBS paid their $300 share. The bill arrived claiming that the overall cost of a 20 minute MRI was $1800. I paid the $200 bill figuring there is no option, but I would like them to know that my co-insurance for the entire $9000 surgery was only $185. In my opinion, they overcharged me. They should inform pe... read more

Business response:

We are sorry to hear that you felt we were not upfront with you. We are happy to have our billing department look into your bill to make sure everything is correct. If you would like us to look further into this, please send us your contact information to feedback@washingtonradiology.com. We wish you the best.

Most of the staff were very friendly and I didn't have to wait long, which is why I gave this place two stars instead of one. I'm very upset with the way the radiologist treated me. When he came in to tell me the results of my sonograms, he was unwilling to answer any questions and, no exaggeration, told me to google my condition. Not okay.

Business response:

Dear Talia, We are so sorry to hear about this. We are going to pass this along directly to the Director of the K Street location so she can speak with your radiologist about how he spoke with you. We definitely understand your concern and take this seriously. If you would like to speak with the Center Director and tell her more about what happened, please send us an email to feedback@washingtonradiology.com with your contact information, and she will reach out to you directly to hear your story. We wish you the best.
