My wife had Shingles - We took her to West Valley Post Acute after 3 weeks that she spent in Tarzana Hospital, and she was there for 3 weeks. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of rehabilitation and genuine care, because the nurses and every single member of their staff were truly caring and willing to help. I received excellent care here. I was transferred to West Valley as a step down from the hospital. I have to say that every staff member I came into contact with made me feel special. They went well beyond helpful.

Clean, well maintained facilities with a helpful caring staff. Elderly mother fell and was in hospital for a few days. The staff was the best and you should go here if you have the chance. Best place ever !!!

I was so thankful that west valley took such great care of my mother! I must be honest and say at first the evening shift did not cater to my mothers needs but as soon as it was brought up to the right parties, workers were fired and new hires were absolutely wonderful. My mother passed away just yesterday and I was so thankful for all the accommodations to make her experience there as comfortable as possible. Wonderful care! Thank you

Clean, well maintained facilities with a helpful caring staff. Elderly mother fell and was in hospital for a few days. Needed to be transferred to in-patient physical therapy. Contacted West Valley and they worked with the hospital and insurance to complete the transfer within a day. Everybody at West Valley was helpful and would certainly go here again if needed.

Don't read too much into the lower reviews here. For elderly care, the Right place to look is Medicare and/or Medicaid websites, which where I did my heavy research. After 3 long pages provided from a hospitals case manager, I narrowed it down to 5 that I had the patience to tour and interview in person. That's a lot to go to!! From there, I boiled it down to 2 places, West Valley and another on Devonshire was my backup. We checked out a number of Skilled Nursing Facilities in the area, and they mostly seemed to have a smell of urine and were quite depressing. Until we walked into West Valley Post Acute. Upon walking in we immediately noticed the clean facility with a nice clean smell. We were greeted by a warm and friendly staff, including residents that seemed truly happy to be there. I took my mom to West Valley Post Acute last year upon her discharge from the hospital. I did a tour around the facility and it did not feel like a skilled nursing facility but more like a rehab facility. They keep it very clean at all times. We were very skeptical about taking my mom anywhere as I have been her main caregiver and of course, no one can take care of your parents better than you right?! Well, I was completely wrong! A positive, happy, lively atmosphere is evident at this facility. The corridors and patient rooms are clean and well maintained. every staff member we encountered was patient and knowledgeable-it wasn't just a "job". Vanessa at the reception desk and then Maria Jimenez at the nursing station were so kind to everyone, amazing and able to navigate the specific paperwork requirements. A pleasant experience for our sister's post surgery care! Thank you West Valley Post Acute Care!
