I love that you can walk in whenever to be seen. No appointment needed. The docs are knowledgeable and helpful. The woman working the other day seemed a bit new and was slightly slow on the intake of information. I would send anyone with their little animal family here.
I like WAH, you can walk in anytime without an appointment, and for a boxer owner with allergies to EVERYTHING, that is nice. It seems I'm walking in once a month with her latley. I did board my dog over Thanksgiving for a week and when I picked her up she seemed happy & clean. I also have a cat that I take here, she had bladder sugery due to stones and they did a very good job with her. 8 years ago I had a hamster that I loved dearly, she got sick and I took here here to put her down, most people would laugh because it... read more
We have been customers of WAH for 11 years and have had nothing but excellent service. We started there with 2 miniature schnauzers who went for shots, exams and grooming. Then, I picked up a stray neighborhood cat and brought him in for meds when I noticed he had worms. We eventually brought the cat into our home and took him to WAH for all of his needs. When one of our dogs became ill last summer with seizures, kidney stones and bladder infection, Dr. Komina did everything she could to help him. When the time came to put ... read more
Just picked up my three Chihuahuas after boarding them there. One of my Chihuahuas is very difficult with strangers. The staff won her over and I couldn't believe it when one was carrying her and another of mine out to greet me. They seem to have been very well cared for and didn't lose the usual weight they do from the stress of being boarded. They were there over a week and seem to be in great shape. Thank you WAH for taking care of my family's babies while we were out-of-town. A
I have been taking my pugs to WAH for about 3.5 years now (ever since they were 8 weeks old!). Unfortunately we moved about 45 minutes away and have tried numerous other vets that just didn't compare. So we make the long drive to WAH every time because they are phenomenal. They are very clean and have an amazing staff. One of my pugs had a laceration on his eye and we have been working with Dr. Arielle for the past few weeks to get it cleared up. She is absolutely wonderful with my dog and makes me feel secure in the treat... read more
great place - clean - professional... Have had all my dogs there for 15 years and would recommend (and do) to anyone new in the area
I bought a 9 week husky with a "cold" from a pet store and was given a list of Vets I can visit in which the pet store will cover if it is within 7 days. Wheaton Animal Hospital was one of the many on the list and according to the reviews on here I thought I'd give it a try! My puppy had yellow snot, a cough, and labor breathing. I immediately brought her to WAH the next day. The Doctor who helped me did a thorough examination and said it was Kennel Cough. (He wasn't really worried about it being pneumonia because she ha... read more
I went to the Wheaton Animal Hospital for the first time this morning and was greatly impressed. My dog has been having the trots for two days and needed her annual check up and shots and they did this all in a timely manner. Granted I got there at 8 a.m. Dr. Lancaster was very helpful and explained what was going on with my hound. He gave me some meds and sent us on our way. I guess I'm writing this a little prematurely since I haven't seen if the meds work, but I feel pretty confident. I'm looking forward to taking m... read more
Had I reviewed this animal hospital last year, I would have given it four stars. This year, however, they've improved on the few little gripes I had with it, and now I give it five. I swear, I collect faulty animals like a kid collects toys. I have a dog who has stomach problems in reaction to any kibble on the market, a cat who pees on everything when he's stressed, and another cat who had disturbing stomach conditions when he ate kibble. Well, I took them all off manufactured pet food, and all the problems stopped. L... read more
