I called hospital on 5/16/22, because my dog had a couple ticks in his ear and we had a hard time Geri g them out ... the receptionist asks me had I been there before I replied yes but not with this dog she said bring him in it will be $10.00 I get there an she says we are not taking any new customers... seriously u had me put my 120 pound American bully in the car an you won't help him ... mind you there was no other patients there none! Only bring your animal here for their wellness check ups. They're ill equipped to handle anything but healthy animals. If you have an animal who is extremely sick or with special needs you're better off at VAC or having a vet come to your home. I was chastised by a snotty tech and then told by the Dr. my dog looked good and didn't have an ear infection; she's prone. Turns out she had a double ear infection. I used to love this place but now they don't take appointments so they make it literally impossible to get in. The vets were great but the last 3 times I went I was told the wait was an hour and a half and I could not leave the parking lot! First of all, who has that kind of time and 2nd, what pet will sit in a car for that long? I have called and asked for the best time to come when there are fewer customers and was told "we are always very busy and there may be an emergency so I cannot say". Seriously? I'm not sure if my previous review will link to this one, but if it does, you'll see I had been going to this vet for about 15 years. In fact, I live about 25 miles away now (I moved) but still drive all that way to bring my cats here. However this place has gone downhill horribly and I will be looking for another vet. A few years ago, my cat was diagnosed with kidney disease. They put her on Hills Prescription Diet K/D and she's been doing great. I always bought the 8lb bags because it's such a long drive now. We sincerely regret any miscommunication for the food order and have a strict policy of seeing the pet annually in order to continue to approve prescription foods and medications. Much like human physicians, this in order to properly monitor any possible changes and to provide the safest care.
I've never reviewed anything before. If you don't want to read the rest of this just please don't take your dog here. I could go on for a while, but I don't know who to blame more, the admin staff or the vets. I try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but this place doesn't deserve it. I had adopted a cat from St Sophia's Forgotten felines & They offered a free wellness exam,I made a appt. to go have cat checked out, It was curbside pickup due to COVID that was fine, I had asked if they could trim her nails why she was their, I would of paid to have that done, The Dr. named Mallorca Enk, called me & Said she couldn't trim the nails that she wanted to prescribe Gabapentin to give to her to sedate her & Then bring her back, I told them I don't drive & Rely on someone to bring me, What kind of Office are they... read more
During covid they were not doing appts and once I got there it was a 2 hour wait. I explained that I drove a far distance and have my daughter so I needed another option, the person on the phone was extremely rude and offered alot of attitude in her responses to which I returned without using profanity. The person eventually hung up on me and once I spoke to her supervisor I was told I cursed the individual why she hung up.
