For now I am giving WAH a four star review... This was my first visit to the WAH with my newly adopted cat, Sebastian. He was sick when I brought him home from the shelter with a sneeze and gooey eyes. He was also having some issues with his tummy (which made cleaning his litter box extra gross). Time to go to the vet! The first visit was free as I had never been there. FREE I say! Kerry Lancaster was the vet who took care of my little Seb. He checked him out thoroughly and answered all my questions. He has a nice demean... read more
I've been to Wheaton Animal Hospital twice now with two different hamsters and they've always been great. They took a lot of time to look at my hamsters and didn't blow me off just because it was a little hamster and they weren't getting paid (the first office visit for a new client (aka pet) is free). When my first hamster died and I had it cremated there, they sent me a very nice condolences card which was signed by everyone on staff. Everyone is very friendly which lessens the stress of taking in a sick pet. It's much a... read more
I really like Wheaton Animal Hospital but I may agree with the one reviewer on surgeries- though I had been referred to their parent branch (same owner/doctor) in Elmhurst for an in depth surgery. For the most part, I love their staff with only one exception. I had taken one of my cats there who was very sick with Kidney Cancer and prior to us knowing he had cancer the doctor basically looked at poor little Igor and said it might be a tooth infection or he could be dying of cancer(these 2 things seem like there should be s... read more
FABULOUS! THIS PLACE IS THE BEST ANIMAL HOSPITAL EVER!!!! I would give them 100+ stars if we could... the whole staff here is simply unbelievable... and that is an understatement. I could go on and on...but there is no point. I have owned pets my whole life, and I have never been to anyone that cares about their clients (pets) haha... as much as they do. Dr. Fae who mainly works at the Elmhurst location is what started me coming here... i have been coming here for over 10 years... when their office was sooo tiny, and it was... read more
The place is clean and a friendly environment. It staff and doctors are very knowledgeable and friendly to your pet. I brough Bishop in for his first vet check up. They weighed him and took a stool sample to check for parasites. All came back negative. The doctor checked his heart rate, his teeth/gums, coat, nads, etc and stated he is in very great shape and is the cutest victorian bulldog. She answered all of my questions regarding hip displaxia, breathing issues among bulldogs, diet, nutrition, types of food and trea... read more
Very disappointing and concerning experience. After paying for extensive diagnostics, including lab work with clearly abnormal values, the primary focus of this clinic was repeatedly pushing an expensive prescription diet for a 8 lbs $78 bag of dog kibble, rather than addressing the actual medical findings or symptoms that brought us in. Requests for clarification and discussion of the lab abnormalities were met with defensiveness rather than explanation. Instead of offering a diagnostic plan or symptom management, the cli... read more

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that you left feeling dissatisfied with the communication surrounding Bella’s care. We understand how upsetting and stressful it can be when a pet is experiencing concerning symptoms, and we appreciate that you took the time to speak with our hospital manager to share your concerns. While we are unable to address specific medical details in a public forum, your feedback has been reviewed internally and tak... read more
*No Longer going to be a client here.* We've been lucky with our annual visits that they happen around lunch time for the past 5 years, until this year (2025), and for annuals they don't do appointments so you just have to walk-in. We know this because in the past we've tried and they said just walk-in. So like anyone else we do a quick Google and look at the Map App and see that their doctor hours end at 6PM, and that their clinic closes at 8PM. So like any sane person we think that the 30min drive right after work(5PM) w... read more
I've been coming here for almost 4 years. I went there on Saturday because my dog was vomiting and having diarrhea. The same night, I ended up in the emergency hospital with both of his eyes swollen. On Monday, I rushed my dog to the Wheaton animal hospital because his eye got a little swollen and there was a little blood in his stool. I got there before 5:30 and waited patiently for the front desk to check out her other customers and answer phone calls. When it was my turn, she stated they wouldn't take me because he couldn... read more
Poor care for our cat. Unable to diagnose problem and superficial exam (likely reason). Will not return despite history there. College Station Cat Clinic took care of the problem with competent and compassionate care.
Business response:
We sincerely regret that you had an unsatisfactory experience and take your feedback seriously. We are sad to see you go and wish you the best with your cats future care.
