Wheaton Animal Hospital provides excellent care to their patients and families. From the friendly greeting upon arrival to the staff of top notch vets, it is a great experience. Having recently lost a young pet to cancer, they were kind enough to send a personalized sympathy card with her paw prints included, this really touched our hearts and told us how much each pet means to them. Thank you for all you do!
The walk-in appointments are convenient. All of the employees were very helpful and took the time to explain vaccines and pricing (which took a while). The wait was nice and quick, and the exam room was clean. I would recommend seeing Dr. Cole. He was very patient answering any questions and took time to interact with my puppy. Great service! 10/10
They do not take advance appointments, so waiting can be a problem. Good staff and doctors. Parking not the best.
My 2nd adopted dog (4Paws 4 u 4 ever) that i have brought here. Welcoming facility and staff. Parking can be a little tricky on busy days. Prices are inline w/ other vets. Only surgery/procedure I had done there was the mandatory spaying of my adopted pet and it went O.K. Have no issues bringing my 2nd one there for her procedure once she is old enough.
I love the fact you don't need an appointment! I've never had to wait more then 10 minutes in the lobby and no more than 5 in the exam room! Mid morning or mid afternoon might be the best time to come! They've got great hours and Sunday pick up for boarding! We've met with Dr. Cole several times with our sick little pup. He's given us options for treatment and explained everything thoroughly. He truly seems concerned for our pets well being and professional. The exam rooms and the kennels for boarding are spotless! And e... read more
Business response:
Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to say such nice words. It really means a lot to us. We hope that we can continue to make you and other clients happy. Have a great holiday.
Took my parents dog in because I was in charge of her care while they were on vacation. She had a very recently diagnosed heart condition that had worsened quickly. The doctor we saw was understanding when I said I didn't want the tests because my parents wouldn't want it. I could hear the cracking in the doctors voice as she told me it was just a matter of time now and that she couldn't even guarantee the dog would survive the drive home. They didn't pressure me to euthanize her and gave me all of the facts about euthanasia... read more
It's OK. It's pretty hard to not like a place filled with cats and dogs. The people are reasonably friendly (male doctor today, meh) We've been having a problem with my dogs dew claw, he's a German Short Hair Pointer (we rescued him at 8 mos) and his front dew claws have become a real problem. We've been here with a broken dew claw four times in a year. They are telling me that I need to keep it clipped (of course) but this last time it was less than two months since the last time that he broke it. Instead of blaming me,... read more
I have been going to Wheaton Animal hospital with my dog Max now for 5 years. We have the healthcare plan and have been to this facility over 30 times. My dog has been neutered here, had a non-cancerous cyst removed, and just recently a TPLO surgery with Dr. Cole. This is why I am writing the review. I was beyond worried, stressed, sick over the fact that my 102 lb dog had torn his acl. I could care less that the surgery was expensive, I wanted someone capable and his after-surgery care to be a vip experience, after all th... read more
We attended the Puppy Manners and the Continuation Puppy classes. We found the training philosophy followed by Tom Schukay was consistent with our training goals for our Yorkie, Muffin. Tom's insight into dog behavior was helpful in working through issues attendees had with their puppies. He offered sound recommendations for improved behavior and performance. We are very pleased with the results seen in Muffin and attribute much of our training success to Tom and his training methods. Thanks, Tom!
