I lived here for 2 weeks and found out the entire building was infested with bed bugs. I paid the next months rent and stayed in my apartment 2 nights of the month only to be covered in bites both mornings. They told me there was not an infestation, but I didn't believe them. I hired an exterminator and paid for it out of my pocket. He found a nest in my kitchen and said that there was an infestation that had been there for at least 6 months. It has become clear that Wheelhouse and Boutique Apartments (same company) don't care about their tenants. I complained that my "secure" locked mail box was pried open the very day I moved in (over a month ago) yet I never received a response. Then my girlfriend complained after our mail box was pried open two more times and the mail was stolen. These frauds have hidden rules / "qualifying criteria" and they never mention it. They even charge for application fees when someone doesn't have a SSN or valid US government issued ID. Such crap. DO NOT RENT WITH THESE MONEY GRABBING A$$HOLES! They are only after money, nothing more. Calling the main office line is useless because they NEVER answer and NEVER return a call. I've lived in the Booker T apartments in Five Points for the last year and a half, and I've finally hit the breaking point with Wheelhouse. A year ago, the roof of our apartment started leaking anytime it rained heavily. We regularly submitted work order requests and left voicemail messages with the main office about this. They don't even deserve one star. They are money hungry and extremely unorganized. We have rented for many years, We have never had such issues with a landlord as My husband and I have had with them. Just be warned they tell you one thing is okay, another employee will tell you something different and you as the tenant will end up paying the price for their poor communication. the people running this are morons. tried to resign our lease, verbally said he'd send it to me.... nothing. then when rent comes due we have nothing posted in our account. multiple times my roomates and i have tried reaching out and asking. everytime get the run around. now all the sudden we have an eviction warning notice, even though we have done everything on our end. we aren't dead beats. it just would be great if they actually got organized. honestly, its cheap and you get what you paid for. we had an unoccupied un... read more

I lived at the apartments on Josephine St. and while the apartments themselves are fairly nice the management company leaves much to be desired. The amount they charge for apartments is way overpriced. A 1 bedroom apartment that is less than 500 sq. ft. is now almost $1,000 per month. When I had originally moved in, it was $780 per month. I would give negative stars if it were an option. I have been a resident of Wheelhouse/Boutique Apartments for about 14 months. From the beginning I have had problems with them. At times I have had to go to the owner to get any one to take notice and act. ZERO stars. I signed a temporary lease with Wheelhouse Apartments (the Cherry Street Townhomes property to be specific) while my new house was being built. I literally have nothing nice to say about this management company.
