Do not trust this company. In 2018, an apartment that costs nearly $1400 a month should have at least somewhat functional air conditioning. During a tour, we were told that our unit had A/C, and we saw it with our own eyes. The lease even contains terms that discuss how residents are to use the A/C system in the unit. Yet here we are, in an apartment that it consistently 90+ degrees inside during the day, because the A/C doesn't work and Wheelhouse refuses to fix it. HORRIBLE PEOPLE AT THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT MOVE INTO ANY BOUTIQUE OR WHEELHOUSE APARTMENTS!!! They hire leasing agents who don't know anything about the property they are leasing, they tell you several things that aren't true just to get you to apply and sign a lease. Management has horrible customer service and bad attitudes toward brand new residents. Put your money somewhere else.

Roaches everywhere right after I moved in. To their credit - they fumigated right after I reported it, but for every issue they "fix" a new one pops up, and they have a single maintenance guy working on all their buildings, so it takes forever to get anything done. There are cracks everywhere in the floors and walls, and some of my roach traps have caught dead mice, but when I asked the maintenance guy about it he basically told me they're not "able" to do anything. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They'll be nice and very responsive with you before you move in. Once they get your signature on the lease - they'll forget about you. I was supposed to move in on march 21st and they kept delaying move in date due to maintenance work in the unit. I was fine with that as long as my new place is ready to go. This is the absolute worst company I have ever had as my landlords. They are horrible with communication and take zero responsibility for any of their mistakes, even when it results in me paying additional fees. I wish I never signed on to my apartment, which I love, because this company has been so brutal to work with. I highly suggest going with a different landlord.
The only reason I'm giving another star is because I liked my apartment complex (Columbine East)... at first. A lot more young loud people moved in right before I moved out. It was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. I also appreciate the the maintenance guy Dave, very nice and quick in responding to maintenance requests and Amanda, my leasing agent who continued to help me when management continued to fail at managing. they don't hire enough staff and the staff they have they can't manage to keep. I've dealt with over 6 maintenance people in a year as they keep leaving the company. Its nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. They should invest in more staff to take calls as some situations you need resolved sooner than waiting to be called back in a few days if ever.

BEWARE THE FINANCIAL TRAP BUSINESS PRACTICES! Very disappointed in this company since they took over. I've been in my particular building for years and was quite happy. Now I am not. I've always rented and I've never had a worse experience. They have ignored multiple requests to fix damage to the ceiling and light fixtures due to renovations above me. Their renovation practices could have seriously injured my son or I if we were home.
