Run away as fast as you can!!! We lived at the Sherman commons Nov 2015-2016! The place is a dump no joke you will live in trash! Dog poop, cat poop and garbage fill the commons. If you enjoy bedbugs your in the right place. We got them 3 times in a year living here. I have scars all over my body from the bedbug attacks. They had the nerve to not give us our deposit back b/c of admin fees. The windows are cheep, the floors are cheep and the ac and heat hardly ever work. Water gets shut off weekly without notice. I've lived at Sherman Commons for 7 months and I deeply regret it. It's convenient for the location but the apartments are absolute trash. Paint splatter from the 'remodel', warped floors and cracked kitchen counter tops; I really could go on and on. Either the heat or the A/C unit is constantly broken and no matter how many times I requested a fix, it never happens. Things have only gotten worse at this courtyard at sloans location. I've never had quite as many maintenance issues as I have with this place. After I wrote my initial review, work began on my shower. They finally replaced the components that needed to be replaced, which required ripping out some of the tile. For about 2 weeks I had a black trash bag duct taped to my shower wall. While they were in one day for my roommates issue she asked them about my shower. Wish I could give them one star. Wheelhouse you are a greedy bunch of people. I live in Le Cirque aka the most overpriced building, ever. Initially we moved in because we were just in a hurry to get out of a sublet, I didn't even have a chance to look at it in person. WHAT A MISTAKE! As I write this review the water service has (for at least the 5th time this year) been disrupted for "emergency repairs". This time with no warning, post interruption notification or communication about a possible service reestablishment time. During my last 2 years of living here I've had a few minor maintenance that needed to be resolved. Last winter my radiator began to leak at the control knob. The absolute WORST experience I have ever had!! DO NOT lease from Wheelhouse Apts. First, had to beg for the keys and receipt. I literally ask the Drunk receptionist(smelt like booze Bad) five or six times for my keys and receipt. It was thanks for the money, she wasn't even going to give me a single piece of paper if I didn't keep asking. Get to the place, walk in and you would not believe how Filthy this place was. This complex is great if you want to live in a building with the most incompetent maintenance staff in the world. It takes on average ten phone calls before somebody comes to resolve an issue. Once "resolved" the problem resurfaces in about 3-5 days. At this juncture all hope is lost because calling again does not help. You will be ignored and your issue will never be resolved. Ever. Let the building know of a water leak in the walls on March 19th. It continued to leak water for almost 2 weeks. Took months to do ceiling and wall repairs. 5 weeks ago they told me they would send out professionals to fix my warped floor boards (4 months laterish, after coming out 3 times before and couldn't fix the problem). We were interested in an apartment at 784 Cherry Street and received a lease. There was an addition to the lease saying that they could call on us to pay property taxes whenever they wanted. Understandably, we had gripes with this and contacted them to change it. This is where we had our biggest problem. After texting, calling, and emailing many times over a week, we still did not receive any communication.
