Wheelhouse is a very poor quality. We waited 2 months before the fixed our problems. We have had bed bugs, and rats, mice. If you like to smoke this is the place for you. We cant open our windows because most people smoke here. Its awful
My experience with Wheelhouse was very sad. The building I lived in (without issue) for 6 years was taken over by Wheelhouse and within weeks there were problems. Lack of communication, promises made that were not kept, very slow response time to maintenance requests, stonewalling over any and all matters financial, tired explanations about how much rent is increasing in Denver and how there are other places to live if I was unhappy-it was endless. I recently moved out-got my security deposit back and was charged for a numbe... read more

Ok finally got my full deposit back. I am happy about that but it does not make up for the experience I had with Wheelhouse
Business response:

I paid $1500 to break my lease early. It took Wheelhouse Apartments 67 days to return my deposit. The law in Colorado gives them 60 days. They told me on the phone the check was in the mail 3 different times. I finally had to drive down to pick up my deposit. Wheelhouse also threatened to evict me 5 weeks after I had already moved out. Do not sign up for the automatic withdrawal of your utilities. They withdrew $200 from my checking account for 1 months utilities. My utilities were usually about $60 month. I had to make 8 dif... read more
After I write this review, I am also going to be reporting Wheelhouse to the Better Business Bureau. After taking over the lease from another managing company in August, they had trouble with their online payment system. This caused my roommate and I to pay rent later than planned, but we were assured that there wouldn't be a late fee. After we payed (in person) they forgot to process both of the checks and we got a nice note at the end of the month saying that if we didn't pay our rent (that we already paid) that we would b... read more

Hi Jacob, We are very sorry you had this experience at our community. Customer service is very important to us and it seems there has been a breakdown in communication for which I apologize. I see both the late fee and legal fees have been waived on your account. I would like to speak with you about this personally and try to resolve the rent payment issues. Please call me at your convenience, (303) 991-6497. Thank you, Mike Keady
I am not sure how to adequately describe just how bad my experience with Wheelhouse was while living at Topaz. I lived there for 2.5 years, mostly due to location and convenience. Though I moved in right after the building was renovated, there were ample structural and management problems. My apartment was located over the boiler room, which meant that I had no control over the temperature or utilities usage in my apartment. Even in the winter, my apartment was at least 80 degrees. In the winter this was somewhat manageable... read more

Marisa, I'm sorry you've had such a difficult time while living at our community. Our staff members work hard to make sure everyone is comfortable in their home. We strive to resolve all problems in a timely manner. I apologize for your experience and I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations.
Worst company I've dealt with in my entire life. Never responds to maintenance and has the worst response rate for admin staff possible. Completely understaffed for as many properties as they manage.
So I moved into a cheap one-bedroom back in 2011. It was a decent place on 12th and Colorado, owned by a nice old guy. The neighbors were nice, and even though things were old in the apartment, the complex was kept clean and the price was right. I lived there a year or so then the building got bought by Wheelhouse Apartments. I didn't know anything about them at the time, but I would soon learn. Things started to decay, fees started to rack up anytime you wanted anything. Fine whatever. Then, there was a roof leak out ... read more

Dustin, We are very sorry this was your experience while living in our apartment community. We do our best to make sure all our residents are happy and comfortable in their homes and I apologize that we did not satisfy you.
If I could leave this place a ZERO I would. The management company completely disregards safety and security requests sent by tenants. We had to threaten legal action to get any movement out of them. This apartment management is the inner city Walmart of management companies.
Business response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry these issues were not addressed before you moved into your home. I will speak with our maintenance team and do all that I can to get these issues resolved quickly. Thank you, Mike Keady, (303) 991-6497
