Great experience.
Fast communication, easy to understand messages, and use friendly website. Only complaint is it took 3 months to close and that seemed drawn out to me without explanation of extensions.
Yes better customer care, the loan officer that was chosen out for me clearly did not know how to be accurate with the information she provided. Explain things one way and they were the total opposite. Overall not at all a great experience even made me regret doing the refinance with Pennymac
The customer service was awful throughout the process. I didn't receive call backs from managers. Documents were asked for one at a time instead of a bulk request. I was asked to close a home equity loan that Penny Mac had been aware of for over a month at 4:55 PM on a Friday the last business day before the rate lock expired. The closing didn't occur as scheduled because the closing documents weren't provided to the closing company. I had to email the CEO before action was taken.
Being told we had a lien on our home, which was not true, and waiting two weeks for that to be cleared up was scary. Using a secondary system for eSign was confusing and slowed the process down. A new sign-in was required for my wife but it took 3 days to get it and that moved our closing out one week. Only hearing from our loan manager, Yester, once a week once the lien was mentioned and we got closer to closing was very frustrating. Yester was kind but needed more support to help us.
My feedbacks: Customer tends to talk to the Loan Officer through the process, once the PNMC customer service took over I couldn't talk to my LO. I had to send an email so my loan officer can call me back. Email respond felt like unread Closing documents - found an error and correction took over 1 week, still incorrect at signing. Wrong appointment was set for closing - the notary got different date. I called, emailed multiple times and did not get a respond until hours later.
Great Experience
Process is way too long. Same Documents are requested over and over because by the time the process starts, the documents “expire.” Also, my loan was canceled without notifying me and had to begin the process from scratch.
I really appreciate assigning one person to be our contact. Yester Gazdjian was very responsive and great at following up on questions. The whole process flowed very smoothly. Thanks Kathy and Jerry
