Next best thing to leaf filter basket Had to change from an outflow sweeper to a suction sweeper (Baracuda) since previous sweeper was discontinued and replacement parts were non-existent. Had to give up leaf filter basket to plug in vacuum sweeper. Put the leaf canister in the vacuum line and it began collecting the leaf and particulate matter that the zodiac was collecting from the bottom of the pool. Works quite well. Poor design It doesn’t seal very well causing it to loose suction ,
The adapter did not fit my very standard pool hose. The description said "The Leaf Catcher includes fittings for Zodiac cleaners and slip fittings for all other brands." Not true as the adapter did not fit my very standard pool hose. I don't know how it worked because I couldn't use it.
Junk and bad customer service Leaf canister broke after only a couple of months, no help from the store and zodiac customer service is worthless by at your own risk. There’s plenty of cheaper products that are way better and a better value zodiac is horrible.
Redundant This product is redundant. Most pools have a skimmer basket and a basket at the pump that prevents leaves from getting into the pool filter.
Hose attachments are proprietary Would have been nice to know that you can't use your standard hose attachments on this. I own two, 30' standard 1.5" pool hoses but only one can attach to the this product because they don't supply you with two fittings to convert the standard 1.5" pool hoses to fit this unit. Can't find anything online of where to buy a 2nd fitting so I don't have to buy $133 R0527800 Zodiac Cleaner hose kit. There needs to be more clarity.
Bought This A Year Ago, Now Stopped Working! Not sure why. We’ve adjusted the valves and pool pump but still not working. We see the cyclone canister moving but the vacuum itself does not move. Our pool technician is also at a loss. We purchased this Jan 2020. We are over the year warranty by a month. Hoping they will still cover it. Definitely not recommending this product! Not a good value for your money.
Works well keeping leaves and debris out of the filter pump I find it much easier to empty this in line leaf catcher rather than having to remove the filter pump cover to clear debris. No noticeable performance changes to suction pool vacuum.
BAD DESIGN This thing will not stay upright. Buy something else...trust me.
