A long history of great performance. This is a piece of gear that you can count on for years. That is if you treat it nice during off season.
Very Quiet We replaced an older Kreepy Krawly knock off that was noisy and broke after a year and a half. Durability remains to be seen, but the unit works great and is super quiet!
Updated review - I think I worked it out Update below: I have rectangular round-ended vinyl-lined pool with steps at the shallow end end and a ladder on one side of the deep end. I decided to try this vacuum as my old Hayward that Id had for 25 years was finally falling apart, turned out to be a big mistake. Worth the high price. We purchased this zodiac g3 pool cleaner for our vinyl lined pool. Wasn’t happy with the price. But thought we would try it. Well it quit working this September.I went to the return and warranty info. Crazy that you have to take pictures and then print itout. So I did. Then I found the troubleshooting guide and again had to take pictures in order to be able to print out. A little more trouble but it paid off big time! It works ok Sucks up debris well, needs very little maintenance. Unfortunately I can not divert enough suction on my 1.5 hp pump for it. The result is that it runs laps around the perimeter of the pool and the walls, but not so much time on the middle.
Excellent Pool Cleaner This is my third Baracuda pool cleaner over the past 20 years. I’ve tried other “brand” name pool cleaners only to have them break resulting in $$$ repair costs. The Baracuda is a very simple design. The only part that requires regular maintenance is the yellow diaphragm. I highly recommend the Baracuda if you want a reliable, lost maintenance cleaner.
very good pool cleaner works perfect on an overnight cycle with 6 or so hours . Our pool stays clean .. We just have to sweep out the tree leaves that stay on top from the darn neighbors
Learn how to take it apart to clean This thing works great! We have a secondary home with a pool that we use this in, so we're not there all the time. It stopped working a few times, but once we took apart all the hoses and the unit itself, we discovered a piece of bark clogging up the system. Another time when it stopped working, we discovered the inlet in the skimmer was clogged with pine needles. Once we cleared the clog, she got back to chugging along just fine.
