Doesn't like solid debris I wish it worked! We purchased this to replace our old Polaris 3900 because I got tired of having to empty out the bags. This is not necessary with a suction side cleaner like this Zodiac MX6. Easy to install. High quality construction. Adjusted the the speed per instructions - 10 revs in 20-25 seconds. We have a 1.5 HP pump. BUT: The MX6 chokes and locks up with the SMALLEST solid debris including even very small twigs & small "acorns". After one year and a half of use: Two sets of very expensive hoses and one set of bests replaced. I have been using the Zodiac Barracuda for many years, following the recommendation of a friend, I decided to buy the MX6. One of the biggest mistakes of my life: This machine has powerful suction, unfortunately that's the only positive feature. Pool sweeper It did not last 4 months before it stopped working. Plus I sent the registration card that was in the package and it was returned to sender, not deliverable. This product is a lemon.
Last a few months and then stops working This is the best 2nd zodiac I’ve owned. They seem to work fine for a few months and then all of the internal components fail and need to be replaced. There’s better options out there. I would not recommend to friend.
Not good for pools with surrounding trees Probably works fine in most circumstances but yard with trees acorns or leaves will jam the suction and will not work
Vacuum works good but hose is complete garbage! After 14 months of use the hose is completely falling apart and Zodiac wants $45 a piece to replace!
Stopped working after a few months Do not purchase Zodiac brand vacuums or from this seller. This is my third Zodiac in less than 2 years, and each fails right after the return window closes, and Amazon and this seller make it very difficult to get a replacement under the warranty.
Only works for a week Fairly large pool, 16 x 32, so I had to buy extra sections of hose so it could reach. But after adjusting water flow to get the track speed correct - it only ran for a few days before it would get stuck. By stuck I mean that the mechanism that spins the suction wheel binds up - so no wheel turning means no wheels turning so it just sits there doing nothing.
