Not a Dolphin replacement We were excited to try this cleaner and always found emptying the Dolphin basket such a hassle. The Zodiac attached right to the skimmer and away goes the junk...right? Nada, the thing rides wheelies and gets nothing or it likes to spin around to impress you. I used it 4 hours and tried all recommendations including wheel RPMs to ensure pressure was good. Sad to say, it's boxed up and awaiting UPS

Dead out of the box I bought this because of the Zodiac name and the good reviews. I had the pool guy assemble this and put it in the pool. The suction began but the vacuum didn't move. I've had him work on it two more times, and still the suction will work but the vacuum did not move. I am hoping that I can return this.
Don't get it It stopped working too many times. I returned it. I replaced it with Hayward "The Cleaner". The cleaner costs more but works very well.
When it works, it's great. But that ain't often. Bought the mx-6 specifically because it was recommended for pools with variable speed pumps. The installation was super easy, and I combined it with the in-line canister for easy cleanup. For a while, it worked great. And then it got stuck. No biggie, the gears probably got fouled. Waste of time and money Had high hopes but alas all for naught. Could not get the wheels to spin at the appropriate rpm as per their directions. Tried everything and then spent almost 2 hours with customer service telling me to attach pieces that I didn't have and did not come with. Then they swore that male end fits in male end to.make connection. Ahhhh.....no. that is not how it works (not even in california). Won’t keep moving for more than 5 minutes. I bought this pool vacuum hoping to save myself time and energy, not the case. I am constantly trying to keep the vacuum going for more than 5 minutes before it just quits working.
This item did not work for me. This item did not work for me. I am not sure if it was defective but it did not clean the leaves on the floor of the pool compared to other robots that i have. It work directly with filter Wich to me is a lot more risky than using a robot that can be recharges with a power cord.
Really Poor. Will stick to your raised drain The media could not be loaded. I did whatever was possible to prevent this from sticking to the drain - adjusted the water pressure, moved the float, adjusted the skimmer, adjusted motor speeds. Nothing would simply work. It's just something manufacturers don't pay attention to and this is the biggest ongoing problem with side suction units.
