Total failure at 6 weeks. I bought this pool vacuum on June 12, 2025. Today is July 30, 2025. Initially I thought it was fantastic but a week ago it totally stopped working. It does not move forward, it does not move backward. It's dead at the tender age of 6 weeks. Total failure. I contracted the seller but it's 2 weeks over their return time. Faulty product MX 8 Zodiac Pool Cleaner This product was bought in March 2025 and I have now had to replace multiple parts. I previously had this pool cleaner and it was very reliable. Amazon Customer Service was awful and not helpful at all.
Not true zodiac product My new mx8 operated well straight from the box. But 2 weeks later began having movement issues. Opened the zodiac to investigate problem found the cleaner engine had broken. Replaced cleaner engine and continued having issues. Brought my zodiac to our local pool equipment store and had them investigate. They found that one of drive engines broke, so replaced both. Pool supply store said that the engines were NOT true zodiac equipment and were from China. Very disappointed.
Do not buy. Do not buy. Stopped working 3 week after installing and conveniently stopped working after it was not able to be returned. Not worth the money. I have had 3 different pool repair guys tell me that they are junk. Not very happy. I would also give this 0 star if it was an option.

Sadden The media could not be loaded. Went to use my Zodiac pool cleaner today and the wheels will not turn. Went to YouTube and all the videos said directionals are bad. I just paid a lot for the cleaner :(Yes, I could send it bad but the hassle of boxing and taking the large box to a shipping store is the problem. I went under orders to report damaged but it keeps saying contact Amazon. This is a product damage not a delivery damage. Video is attached.
It *ROTTED* in the water. The hoses are shot. Disintegrated, cracked, split, worthless.When it arrived I thought the segmented hoses were a clever idea, certainly an easy way to fit more hose into a smaller box for inventory purposes. However the hose material is total complete crap!It's not even one tenth as good as the low end product from Leslies or Namco pool supply stores.It's a lot of money for a vacuum that didn't even last three years.
Started off Good This cleaner worked perfectly for the 1st month. After the 1st month it stopped working completely. I've already cleaned my filters, leaf baskets and everything else. I can see the water circulating in the leaf container attachment, however the main unit is not moving at all. Very disappointed. This cost too much money to stop working so soon
Worst customer service on the planet I bought this unit in September and it’s no longer working. Less than one year so it’s still under warranty. Good luck on having them make good on that as they don’t answer their phones. As a matter of fact the wait time on hold gets longer instead of shorter. I did press the option to call me back and they did after 6 pm each time. They don’t respond to their support emails either. Do yourself a favor and pick another option.
