Don't bother I bought this product hoping that it would actually do what it said it would and clean the pool instead of my son or me having to do it. Not. It just sat there on the bottom of the pool. I could clean the pool faster than this could.
Will not connect to an Intex skimmer that hangs on a hook inside of the pool The description claims that it will work on any above ground pool, but if you have an Intex skimmer that hangs into the pool (vs through the wall) it will not work. I'm sure someone more ambitious than myself could come up with a Gerry-rigged system to make it work, but I'm not willing to go through the effort. Baracuda Have used this several times, maybe it's just my hoses, but for some reason it did not get the outer area's of my 24' round pool, and the middle of the pool. Other area's were cleaned well.Have now used it for several weeks,I've learned to turn it on for several hours instead of 2 I now turn it on 4 hours before I use pool and it does a much better job.
Buying my second one! Can't find anything better. I bought my Baracuda Ranger 5 years ago from a pool store for over $200, after returning an Aquabug that did not work for my situation. I have an above ground 18' round pool I installed myself, so the liner is a little wrinkled at the bottom. This cleaner really does a good job, especially considering the unlevel liner. ok I don't like the fact that this cleaner won't go in a pattern to clean my abg pool. I just seems to want to climb and clean only the walls. No matter what I do, adjustments I make, it still just wants to crawl the walls. Really not effective for me. I even bought a more horse power pump but no difference in the performance. Too Lazy to return it!

Horrible This may be the greatest pool cleaner since the dawn of man but for Intex pools it does not work! Save yourself a big headache and look elsewhere. I've spent the day trying to get this thing up and running to no avail. After I broke my skimmer I gave up. Then I came back and read the reviews again and lo and behold someone mentioned it wasn't Intex compatible. Sure wish I had seen that! Damaged I used this vacuum for half the summer and it is already torn up! So upset. The plastic part on the inside is busted.
Does an OK job for the money This will clean your pool pretty good overnight. It does not climb the walls on my 16 x 27 above ground pool like prior suction cleaners I had, but my walls stay pretty clean anyway. I think for the price it does the job. It seems durable, but I will see. My prior cleaners - from Lowes - lasted about two years each (I bought two of them in the past 4 years.)
