My doctor send a prescription for a NexWave device. Medicare rejected therefore I have to pay $250 for the unit. It was not $30-100 as advertised! That was a lousy unit. They told me they “accepted my insurance” but they are not in network for my primary insurance and keep telling me that my insurance company will bill Medicare. I’m not going to pay for the pads at $100 a month when I already have 2 kinds of insurance with premiums of over $400 a month. This device is going in the trash.
TENS unit wasn’t even as good as the $40 ones you can get on Amazon. But apparently it is non refundable so I am stuck with a $283 bill. Waste of money.
Hold times on the phone are excessive. The machine was shipped initially with transducer pads completely inappropriate for my area of injury. I had to pay for the correct ones, and then was sent an incorrect size which I did not order. The representative at Zynex at first argued with me and told me that the size I was sent is not manufactured. I am not happy at all with the experience I had with this company. All components of accepting this product should be disclosed and the lack of that caused me to incur full charges with NO insurance coverage. Yes I could have returned the item,but even so I was already in for 150.00 just for accepting the item when delivered..another disclosure not disclosed.. Trying to bill my insurance 75.00 for a 9 volt battery is NOT good ethics at all. I would NOT recommend this business whatsoever.

My doctor recommended this unit for shoulder/back pain. When I called Zynex, I was told by the sales person that if insurance didn't pay for it, I could return it at any time, so I might as well try it. He said they would let me know if there were problems with insurance. I didn't hear anything until a month later when I received a bill for a ridiculous amount of money for batteries and electrodes. These are terrible people, caution!!! They double bill, ignore your insurance company and are seemingly proud of it. Never deal with them unless you have in writing that they will accept your insurance for payment, otherwise 8 months later they will come after you, violating the later billing practices regulations.

Sale person/Lucas x3411 left out important details, did not explain in detail as to the following: 1. The device is a rental 2. Electrodes will be sent monthly and will be charged monthly. 3. Electrodes cannot be returned even though they are unused or unopened.

This company is an insurance scam. I was sold the NexWave tens machine with no out-of-pocket costs. They automatically opt you in for recurring medical supply shipments while billing your insurance thousands of dollars. Coincidentally, the supplies and devices are non-returnable and non-refundable according to Zynex
