The staff is wonderful! Informative, professional, friendly, PATIENT, just all around terrific. The office is so clean and so well organized you immediately feel you, and your valuables, are in good hands. I am the third family member that has used A-1 on High Street in the last 5 years. And we will keep coming back!

Place is clean, Mark was great helping me with all the paper work and explaining how to go in and out of the facility as well as what procedures to follow, it's my firs time renting a storage unit and Mark made the experience smooth, thank you!

Mark helped me get 2 giant units to store 40 years worth of furniture while we look for a new home. He was meticulous with the paper work, as well as super flexible as I upgraded the size of the units a few times. Each time I had to make a change he told me it was very easy to do - so the process really was easy - for me. He also helped me find any discounts available on the cost. It was a total pleasure working with him.

I called only days in advance and representatives at A-1 were helpful and efficient getting me an available space. Their prices are one of the better ones in Oakland. It is a great spot for long term or short term month to month storage. I received follow up calls and emails right after my inquiry, very professional. Available parking, and drive up options to storage units. Office & staff are helpful, also on site from 9-6, mon-fri!

Excellent experience. We left furniture and storage boxes here for several months while moving/consolidating households. The staff was always friendly, efficient, and clear about charges and policies. The facilities were clean, felt secure, and, aside from an occasional bobble with a sticky elevator call button, functional. I have to say that from all of the self storage facilities I've had to use, this has been by far the best experience. Mark checked me in and was very informative from the get go. He asked great probing questions so I would get the best use out of this facility along with helping get the most out of my money. Every time I had to make a stop, I would see Mark either helping a customer, walking the grounds making sure everyone had a pleasant experience, and always addressed the customer by name. This place will get you for every penny they can. Your bill escalates so read the fine print. When it was time to cancel, they told me they don't do refunds, even though my auto payment had just come out. Girl at the front desk said they require a 10 day cancellation notice. I told her I would like to do that, and get a refund for the remainder of the month, but she said they don't do refunds.
