Had my jeep motor rebuilt in July 2014. All seemed to go well until October 2014 when I noticed a small oil leak. Looked like rear main. Contacted accurate engines and made an appointment to get it fixed, Then I asked if it could wait as it was going into storage for the winter. They said yes no problem bring it in when your ready. Well August 2015 I contacted them and set up an appointment to bring it in. Well then they tell me because I didn't bring it in with in the first 12 months I would have to pay an additional... read more
Terrible company, will never say anything good about this company or its management! We sent the motor to them back in January when I lived in Michigan, needed the engine rebuilt so my wife and I could drive it to Montana in mid February, we were moving there, well never got my truck back in time so we had to rent a truck to move. They finally got my truck to me in April! Drove it less than 400 miles, check engine light came on, took it to a Napa authorized mechanic since that's what the warranty states. He drained the oil, ... read more
this place sucks. my engine was supposed to be 3100 installed, ended up being way more after everything, within 1200 miles my engine already had a rod knock and is leaking oil, i paid for censors to be replaced and all they did was clear the codes and my check engine light came back on, same sensor codes came up as before, they broke the hood mount on the hood of my truck also, i have no clue how you can build an engine so shity, terrible service all around, took a very long time to even get my vehicle back even when t... read more
As a mechanic I get a chance to see a lot of things, I get to see the best and worst of every company, I have had two experiences now with people bringing accurate engines to me, both times I was appalled by what I saw, the quality of simply the appearance was alarming to start with, the poor quality I found internally in one and the poor workmanship in the other. I found accurate engines to be evasive in their responses to my tech questions, I have found them to be cowardly in taking ownership of their workmanship, and I h... read more
I purchased a 4.7 liter engine for my dodge ram 1500 4x4. Everything seemed great until almost 2 years. The #3 and #5 cylinder is dead. They said send engine back and wants me to pay for shipping 300.00 round trip plus the 1000.00 I will have to pay to have it removed and replaced. Accurate engines is a horrible place to do business with. Everything is great until u need a warranty
Not very satisfied with motor.. I purchased the motor from Accurate because my machine shop recommended them. I could buy the motor with a “warranty” for just a few hundred dollars more than I could rebuild one. I have rebuilt countless engines over the past 25 years from daily drivers to 700 hp racing engines (translation: I’m not new to motors). This motor had a rear main seal leak from the start, not a drip but a road oiling leak. I contacted Accurate and they seemed very pleasant to work with, but the warranty only cover... read more
I did not have pleasant experience working with you people. It was tough to get thru to talk to some one. Even tougher to get a return phone call. The quality of the engine in my opinion was poor. Even though your team said they found no issues with the engine. However eventually you did all that could be expected in trying to resolve my problem. Thank you any way for what you did do.
I bought a 383 stroker for a show car I was building, I wanted a aggressive sounding engine, paid for blue anodized rockers and received plain stamped steel, received no papers for the cam and other things, called and spoke with customer service and I believe the other name was Lonnie who built the engine, they were to get a different cam and take care of the problem, after several attempts I gave up, so my first experience was not a good one being I'm still waiting for this issue to be resolved,
Paid 3,200 to ship Chrysler 300C 5.7 hemi engine to Accurate Engines to have it rebuilt. Ran fine after initial install, but failed internally (low compression on cylinder 3) after only 6 months and 5,000 miles. Since AE will not cover remove and reinstall, will have to scrap the car. If they really stood behind their work, they would pay for r-and-r when the failure is clearly an internal issue. Cannot recommend.
