Update: I just found out my disconnection request done back in October was never processed. They have been charging me for service at an address I no longer live at. Cannot get a hold of anyone in Anchorage to help me out with this issue. Unbelievable!!! Worst customer ever! Cannot get a hold of anyone in Anchorage. Outsourced phones to out of country. The fact that Alaska Communications is putting in Fiber Optic cable in on our street. Making a mess putting in junction box’s. Cutting our street. For something I will never sign up for. Looking at the reviews. I am thankful I have GCI. PS I didn’t think I would ever be thankful to have GCI. But Alaska Communication you make GCI Look really good.

ACS is engaging in misleading advertising for their new unlimited fiber connection. I signed up for the latest offer for the unlimited and had it installed this week. I was told once it was installed that if I actually wanted the 2.5 G, I’d have to find my own router to go with the plume that supports 2.5 G because the router they provide only supports up to 1 G. They said the technology isn’t easily available, they don’t have recommendations on brands or where to find them but that I’d still be charged for the unlimited tha... read more
Our internet has been down totally for 3 days & down intermittently for the last month. My husband has called several times, been on hold for at least an hour then the call was dropped or he gave up. What is going on???
First, they can drop their attitudes on the phone. Second, they hang up on you after a few moments and never call back. Honestly they have gone down hill.

Where to even start? They are a garbage company with the absolute worst customer service. It is obvious they are reading a flow chart and if the question is not on the flowchart, they just say go online. Well that works great until your in a situation like me where I am unable to do so because when I was trying to create an account, it glitched and saved my information, but did not send me the account number. I have used ACS for almost 5 years, plus in the past growing up and such with family. They are not the company they used to be. The service in my area for internet is terrible. The Customer is the worst I ever dealt with. You will be on hold for at least 30 min, no question. Recently, about 2 months ago, a fence company for my neighbor cut our internet line. I have had ACS for almost 10 years with no issues other than internet can be a little slow. However, I moved at the end of May and tried to have my service transfered couldn't do it via online with out an appointment. no big deal selected the higher speed that was available and canceled my old address. Well the order to cancel has been sitting there since June 2nd.
