The food was very poor. Fresh oysters covered in pimento cheese sauce titled as Oysters Rockefeller. Weiner schnitzel which was breaded veal with a brown gravy caper sauce was very starchy with potatoes that were also too starchy like glue. Only highlight was the waiter who was very astute to our meal concerns and the lady manager walking the floor that took the unedible items off our check and offered alternatives. Would not recommend based on food quality only.

If you’re a fan of crab cakes, for God’s sakes don’t eat this one! The crab meat has been pulverized beyond recognition and the batter / coating is just gross. $22 for one; if I’d ordered the entree I would’ve sent it back and refused to pay. New untrained server combined with inedible food…. We won’t be back; there are too many other great options on the island.
Food was like a bad wedding reception. Was not hot and felt microwaved. Got charged $3.50 for a birthday treat…which was odd. Ambiance was fine and on the water, but the whole experience seemed like a tourist trap. For the price we expected much better. Many other better restaurants in HH. Would not recommend Alexander’s.

Only enjoyable dish was the fried green tomatoes- perfectly prepared - excellent flavor and texture. Oysters, Fritos Misto (calamari) 4 pieces of calamari - 1 was cold among fried onion rings, fried carrots and fried asparagus- all soggy and bland - bee sting cocktail was like rubbing alcohol - Wiener schnitzel was perfectly prepared but it was bland - despite caper brown butter sauce pairing which was also bland - asparagus was over cooked & bland - mashed potatoes could have come from a box - hard to tell—- husband’s prime... read more
