Food was mediocre. I had blackened snapper which was all mushy and had no flavor. Service was poor. Waitress tried very hard but was overworked.

Eric the bartender was excellent. However, after we saw a rat run across the beam, he told us,“Yeah, we have a problem with them.” No apology just a matter of fact. This made us question the sanitary conditions and the nonchalant response. We didn’t order dessert and left promptly upon paying our bill

Chair had to be replaced. Soup was cold. Bread came late. Drinks came later. Poor pour for the $. They served my entree to a guy at another table the gave the same dish to me. They had very little help. Poor waitress ran around like a chicken with her head cut off. When I gave her my AMEX Platinum Card she questioned me if it was mine!!??!! Have been dining at Alexander’s for 40 years since we stay at Palmetto Dunes every year on Hilton Head. Not again The quality has dropped severely

We had planned for a fine dining experience and it was not. Plates were left on the table, cocktails were watered down, there was a bad smell like sewage smell throughout the restaurant. We paid for fine dining, but it was more like eating at a casual diner.

My prime rib was delicious. Unfortunately that did not make up for or excuse the poor service. At the bar, the bartender was dismissive and stressed- The wait service at the table was practically non existent. We had to flag someone down for every single thing. I know "it's hard to find help on the island "; then close a section and seat less people so you can serve properly- our waitress was overwhelmed. We live here and won't return.
