My level of anger and aggravation are high, but I am going to keep this constructive: - They were the most expensive quote of the six I gathered but based on availability I had to book with them - The time estimate provided after a walkthrough was 2-3 hours; it ended up being 6. An "estimate" being off by 2x or 3x really isn't an estimate at all. - They peer pressure you into tipping; that's awkward. - After they left we found a TON of furniture damage, mostly on new items. This company moved us from Aledo to Cottonwood Shores. The estimate was a fair price but the service was very poor. First call was from the company saying they could not locate us. They showed up with 3 movers instead of 4. The moving van was too tall to get in the front gate, I had to get my tractor out and spend 2 hrs cutting down the roadbed in order to get the truck on my property. I have moved at least 12 times since 2003 in Austin, TX and this was by FAR the absolute worst experience I have ever had and cost a fortune. I called around to get quotes from several companies, and All my sons quoted me verbally between $550-650 on our initial call--and we discussed the inventory I had. He was very nice and seemed trustworthy. This was the most reasonable quote I got, so I booked the move. At the end of of the move, my total was over $1200!! Horrible experience. Super rude. Tried to access areas against my express clear directions not to. Left garbage all over my lawn. Disgusting, unprofessional, incompetent.
most of everything in the kitchen was just thrown into boxes. not ever remotely wrapped. things in general were not properly packed to make for east and safe transport. as for the payment and finance side, there are a lot of hidden fees and things that we were unaware of that came as a shock when we got the bill. We purchased packing materials for them to use, which they really didn't use and used their own stuff so that they could charge you more for it on the material side. Price I paid was a lot more than I was quoted plus they showed up an hour later than my appt time. When I first called they said their movers were professional. They were not!! They did wrap everything nicely and nothing was broken in the move which was surprising considering. The guy in charge was pretty much a jerk and got so frustrated at the end he didn't even finish unwrapping my couch. Granted it was a problem as it was a little too big but didn't v warrant his attitude. Would highly recommend not using this company.
Since we've moved in almost a month ago, we've had two beds break as a result of shoddy reassembly of the bed. Some screws were replaced by screws that are the wrong size and many screws are missing (you could say they really screwed up). What's crazy is the assembly of the beds took a really long time (of the total cost of our move, bed assembly and reassembly cost at least 1/4th of the overall time) I'm shocked they weren't assembled correctly and we have to replace at least one bed because it's irreparably broken. ... read more
Charged more than double what they quoted. Broke multiple items. Not worth a fraction of the price they quote even before the hidden fees.
Clearly this is not an isolated incident, as you can see from the horrendous reviews this awful company gets, but please avoid booking with this company at all costs. They do not care about you as a customer or what you think. Save yourself the headache of dealing with these clowns and call someone else. Canceled my company's office move with less than 48 hours notice that I had booked over three weeks in advance.
