Damaged my new home- inexperienced movers- excessive time to move furniture.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE! You will pay for moving time that could’ve been done faster and more carefully. I had damage to several pieces - only a couple that I was aware of at the time of the move but finding more as I progress through getting settled in. These guys asked for $500 deposit, so I did. they were supposed to called me back to confirm the time, but never did! so I called the day before our moving day to confirm, and they said they will called in the morning to let me know what time frame they are coming. They called me on our moving day (closing day) that they can't come and do the service. They cancelled on us. They were short in crew, they said. No one to return any messages I left. Even sent a message on Messenger. Message was seen but yet they still failed to reply to me.
I contacted all my sons for a quick move (2 dressers 2 queen beds) and was told it’s about $109 an hour and 1 hour travel time is INCLUDED. I ended paying OVER $300. I feel lied to and extremely misled by the travel time being “included” as I was told over the phone and when the movers went over the contract with me. What they mean is that plan for an hour travel time. YOU PAY IT. It’s NOT included. For a company this big to use such misleading terms is extremely deceitful! 10/10 would not recommend! They had given us a moving time of 7:30 A.M.... did not show up until 5:30 P.M. Zero communication of an estimated time in between, they asked us to wait around and they would call. We had 2 mattresses, 2 small dressers and 2 boxes to move 15 minutes away and they gave a quote of $110. They ended up charging $310 and scratching both dressers in the process. They damaged some of my furniture. Mostly dings & scratches, but there was significant damage to an antique table. When I called simply to ask if they had found the half of the leg that had broken off so that I could get it repaired, they didn't even have the courtesy to call me back as promised.
Worst moving experience of my life. They sent a crew of four who all looked like they just rolled out of bed although it was 9:30. Not professionally dressed and with absolutely no idea how to move furniture. On top of all of that they smelled awful.
