I do not recommend this company to anyone, worst service ever, charged $219 per hr and then late changed the rate to $259 after signed contract which is illegal in the state of RI. One of the mover broke my glass top of my dining table and did not contact the office to let them know. Broke the marble on my fire place and the base, broke a leg off my sofa, broke a box of my late mother china cups and other items after i told them the significance of the boxes. the movers who came did their job, however for the time and price, I feel like it was high. Some misrepresenting of quote/cost, drivers went to wrong address, extra 30+ minutes paid for, not exactly hustling for moving from 1 small apartment to another. I used Allied movers previously, in comparison, I see the difference in movers who are getting job done in timely and professional manner. Horrible. Extensive damage to numerous furniture items with zero reimbursement. Movers were in a rush and "wanted" a gratuity before they moved items!
The worst moving experience of my life. I wish I had done some research before I hired them. First, this company is very dishonest. They give you one quote over the phone and then overcharged you at the end. The charged me $800 to move only 4 pieces of furniture to a storage unit 0.5 miles away. They said they charge for gas and time and labor. It took them less than 30 mins to move things out of the apartment and drove another 5 mins to a storage unit. This company is extremely DISHONEST and crooked. I feel like I was just robbed. I hired them to help load a Uhaul van with my furniture from a studio apartment. For 2 hours of labor plus 1 hour of transportation they quoted me $580. They said if we didn't have boxes/moving supplies they would use their supply and charge us for what they used. They are the worst they tell you one thing on the phone and then when they got there it was 600 dollars more they are lazy and liars they wrapped my furniture up brought it to the new house left it there never unwrapped anything they charged me 900 dollars to move a kitchen set two beds and a couch please don't go through them I tried to complain to the supervisor and he told me I was mis quoted on the phone when I tried to tell him I was not he hung up on me again worst mistake of my life never again very unprofessional awf... read more
This moving company is the absolute worst. To start, the initial call is nothing but a fraudulent sales pitch. They lie about the pricing from the start. On the day of the move, the 2 gentlemen that moved me spent a lot of time drinking water, going to the bathroom, texting on their phone, looking at videos on their phone. Terrible! We moved in December 2022. They sent 3 kids who knew nothing about moving. I caught them texting, my husband had to re-assemble the beds, they lost the tool kit and didn't know how to put together bed frames. We had to carry furniture and boxes. I won't even mention how they moved our upright piano! No attention was paid to boxes marked fragile. No protective covering was placed on the hardwood floors on a rainy day. No check in call came. Customers beware of this moving company. First off we were quoted a fee of $549 for moving just a few heavy furniture pieces. Customer service spoke to us three times before the move. We went over all the things to be moved. When the movers arrived they took there sweet time moving the items and did not really seem to know what they were doing.
