"I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with SquareTrade. I called first and was directed to file my claim on their website. After I did that, they kept me informed every step of the way (when they received my claim, when they received the product, when they were working on it, that they couldn't come to a resolution, and when to expect my refund). "I was out of town on business and face-planted my S4 at just the right angle to spiderweb my screen. On 27 JAN I submitted a claim via online. I took until 6 FEB to hear back and get authorization for repair but since my phone still (kinda) worked the delay caused me no grief.
