"I am generally a BIG skeptic of extended warranties, but Squaretrade is the exception to the rule. I bought a car DVD player years back, and it failed on me. The claim process was painless and easy. Ever since then I have bought warranties from them! My most recent experience, my 5 month old TIVO went out.
