They sent me to a repair shop that closed 5 months ago! What am supposed to do now?

Hello, We apologize we were unable to approve your recent claim. Squaretrade TV warranties offer extensive coverage against a variety of hardware and electrical issues but we do not cover drops or spills. In this case we were unable to approve your claim because there were signs of physical damage to the display. Due to this we have cancelled your warranty for a full refund of it's purchasing price. the previous protection plan offered from Walmart would refund the entire amount of purchase items, square trade will consider depreciation and will only give a partial refund for your items that you insure. I have worked with 3 other companies and every other one will refund full amount, that is how insuring items works. But this company is all about the money

Squaretrade does offer reimbursement as one of our resolutions, though which resolution your item qualifies for depends on it's category and the issue it is experiencing. Thought I was purchasing all around coverage but it was limited warranty

Squaretrade sells warranties which include differences in coverage, in this instance your product was covered by a Standard Protection plan. Standard plans cover hardware and electrical failures due to normal use, but we do not cover drops or physical damage beneath this plan. I sent my phone in this last Monday, they received it on Tuesday. I was under the impression that I would get it back Wednesday or Thursday, because it said that they fix your phone the same day they receive it. I hadn't received and updated so I reached out to customer service on Thursday, for them to tell me my phone wouldn't be done until the 20th. Which no one from the company updated me on, I had to go asking for myself when I thought that they would tell me, that seems like a pretty important detail to tell a customer.... read more

I called before purchase and was told it would be covered if seller refused, yet...... now I have to wait for 2 years. The expectant for me to contact a company in china, not even knowing the name, or anything but the reseller, makes it hard to do, so I wait.

My only negative was having to wait over 24 hours for Square Trade to find my file and verify that my extended warranty was still in effect. Once past that hurdle everything went as it should in a timely fashion. When you go to buy a new TV normally your old one is still working. When your old one fails and you have to replace it you do not have any TV until it is replaced so time is of the essence.
