On two separate occasions now, I've had to submit a claim with SquareTrade. Both times they did all they could to troubleshoot and repair my items. Both times the items were not repairable so SquareTrade sent me a check to reimburse my purchase price. I will never buy another item without being sure to also purchase the SquareTrade protection whenever it is offered!
First experience submitting a claim. Simple, quick, no problems. Claim paid and closed in less than a week.
Everything was easy and chatting with a knowledgeable representative was great. I believe, however, that more choice for the consumer in fulfilling a replacement option should be provided. Including a cash voucher instead of simply providing a replacement option is limiting. What if the consumer is particular about the brand. I could only choose from one brand.
Claim was denied, they sent company's contact information (product still under warranty), BUT they sent info. on the WRONG company. A waste of time and I still had to do the work myself.

My wife was sent to over 3 locations to fix a problem with her phone just to have it shipped in. This warranty was explained to us as a simple procudure and it was not only a hassle but the time she had to take off and move the phone to one place to the other is ridiculous. We won’t be buying any more Squre trade warranties in the future Although the phone did get replaced I’ll be using AppleCare next time

My son's Android smartphone got a cracked screen, so Square Trade gave us a replacement. He could not download any apps on the new phone. We are going to return the new phone if we cannot get the new phone to work and just use the old phone.

I purchased the three-year warranty on my latest printer (HP8630) and was delighted it held out for two and a half years before the print head died (I never had a simple print head failure in any of the last seven printers I'd purchased). Went online to SquareTrade and reported the failure with an expectation of getting enough back to buy this relatively expensive part (almost the price of the printer when purchased).
