I have protected many items with Square Trade and had three claims which were handled very fast I cou;d not be happier with the company and the friendly staff.
I had a policy on my Garmin watch and it wasn't reading the GPS locations accurately. The online request for service was easy to navigate. I received a quick response with good instructions on how to proceed. They processed the claim in the timeframe they agreed to and sent me a refurbished watch that is working fine. I usually don't purchase extended warranties but the value for the money in this case seemed like a good idea. I'm glad I paid it and will do it again the next time.
The person who sold me my computer monitor "warranty" policy told me I had to KEEP THE RECEIPT to make a claim. So I taped it to a big pink paper. When the monitor died, I went to the file. Found the warranty paperwork, and of course, the BIG PINK PAPER with the receipt. I gave four not five stars because the details they wanted from the receipt included the date and the TIME of purchase, plus almost everything on the top portion of the receipt, all the little numbers etc. which made me feel as if they were trying to disqual... read more
Process didn't take as long as I thought it would. I received almost as much as I paid for the item.
