I thought I was getting peace of mind by getting American home shield, like it says in their commercials, however the service has been hit and miss. Sometimes wonderful and other times not so much. During a recent service call for my A/C unit, which was leaking and not cooling, the technician blew out a clog in the drain, which resolved the leak. He then went to the roof to check the coolant at the compressor. When he came down he informed me that he had found and fixed a leak where coolant had escaped. I pay a hefty monthly... read more
This is a great service to have. It does save you money when repairs are needed. The only issue I have is the increase in monthly payment. Things are already expensive and then my monthly premium goes up.
Coverage of repairs help surprise expenses
I have gotten many items repaired or replaced over the years. Most all the people came on time and did a great job. There was one company that did a terrible job and should not be used by AHS. Each year however fewer things are covered and more fine print is added to the contract.
All set Appliance was able to repair my stove. D and Josh were excellent!!!! I highly recommend them both!!
I loved the no hassle response. I was recently surprised when there was no haggling when my appliances needed to be replaced. I was give the option of comparably valued appliances or check or e-card. I chose the e-card because although the chosen AHS appliances were comparable, my choice brand was not included and I was able to get that brand with the e-card.
AHS has handled my requests professionally and very quick to get a tech assigned.
This time the service was good. The contractor contacted me as promised and promptly scheduled a service time. The problem was corrected. This is an improvement as the two times previous the service was awful, contractors never contracted me and I ultimately found another solution. If this had not been corrected, I would have stopped using AHS. Hopefully, the previous problems have been completely corrected and my most recent service is now representative.
