We purchased a warranty with our new house. The day we moved in we found electrical wiring issues and the ac didn’t work. The electricians didn’t even want to come out as that is not a covered problem. The AC was fixed. But I think major electric issues should be fixed.
Contractors are fairly responsive & easy to work with.

Wanted to use someone else for my hvac but because you could find someone else then I couldn't use my person. He was not on the block list and could come within an hour. I'm not sure why that is such a big deal.
