For the longest time that I've been with American Home Shield, the reps have been very nice. American Home Shield has been great. In the past, I wasn't too happy but I stuck with them because I knew that if something was broken, they would be there to take care of it. This year, I would say kudos to them. When my air condition wasn't working, AHS responded very quickly and got the air conditioning man there the next day, so I was very happy. The tech came out and found that there was no electricity going to the unit. I found out that there a breaker switch burned out. They decided to change that breaker switch but they still haven't done it. Tomorrow, they're gonna change it and hopefully, the air condition is gonna work. It was perfect dealing with the AHS rep when I called in a claim. I got the appointment right away and everything went well. They told me that the contractor will be getting ahold of me within the next day or two. Then Ryco Electric was there to fix the electrical outlet in my garage. The technician did a wonderful job. He checked everything out that I asked him to check out pertaining to that outlet. It was timely and very professional from start to finish. Everything is working fine now.
My claim was for a clogged toilet and a broken spigot in the garage. The contractor was here on time and did a great job. The technician was very good. He was punctual and worked quickly and professionally. He was able to repair the issues the same day. So far, Home Shield does everything that they advertise, which is all I need.
This is my second year with AHS and I have kept them for the added benefit of protection. This house is older, and I don’t want to have to pay to replace major appliances. I had a claim for a tune-up and the contractor was fine.
I call AHS whenever I file a claim. I like talking to a person and it's easy. Also, the contractors they've sent have all been professional and seem to know what they're doing. They look at it and then they fix the problem. Recently, water was dripping from the freezer to the refrigerator and also, the ice maker was not working. Our air conditioner wasn’t working and we had Epic Heating And Air come out the next day to check it. The technician was on time, really quick and he said it was good. Our AC is working now.
Weatherwise came out for something about some line outside. Our AC is working now. The contractor was cool and did really good. The only suggestion I have to American Home Shield is that when you call them, it’d be cheaper.
There was a time when my AC was leaking water. I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and I liked that a timely technician was able to come out and get my situation assessed and fixed. Their contractor Union Express replaced the refrigerant and the filter. Everything was fine after.
