I had a claim a month ago and it wasn't so good. It was assigned to several contractors and it was two weeks before anything was fixed. AHS gave me what they wanted, a repair. What I finally ended up paying for out-of-pocket, the contractor assigned was gonna charge me double. I called the first contractor and they could make a repair but they couldn't make a replacement, which didn't make sense. They also broke some of the equipment that they said they didn't break. I just bought my place a month ago. I got a phone call from somebody at American Home Shield explaining everything about the contract and I said I needed new locks so they out Key’D UP Locksmithing. The contractor then called me. They were really good. Their tech replaced the lock and everything has been functioning fine. So far, I like having American Home Shield. But the lock replacement was only a small job.
They have come through on all claims but the wait time for finally getting the issue resolved can be very long.
This company is prompt, competent, and follows up.
American Home Shield sent a very good contractor. They came when they were supposed to. The repair only took a few minutes. They saw what the problem was, they fixed it, and left. They were very friendly and very professional. I've been with American Home Shield for about five years, and I’ve been very pleased with the contractors that they've sent.
The air conditioning was making a noise and we wanted to make sure it didn't mean anything. My husband submitted the claim online to American Home Shield and the contractor called us and let us know once they were coming. The service was great.
When it was taking numerous cycles for my dryer to dry my clothes instead of a cycle, I did a request through a representative and the contractors that came out were great. The dryer has been working fine since as well. On the same day I did the dryer request, I did an HVAC request and they told me that because it's the special, it had to be requested to a person. I've only had American Home Shield for four months. But it came in good timing because I had an air conditioning issue and a heater issue. I filed the claim online and just paid the $100. The next morning, somebody contacted me and we set up a time to come. It was very easy. The technician called my wife and told her that he was on his way.
