AHS's contractor, UA Heating and Cooling, came out to my home for an air conditioner that kept turning on and off. However, I need to contact AHS again as the unit is still going on and off. Still, I enjoy AHS as my warranty provider.
We had Sears prior and they weren't meeting our needs. We moved on and signed up with AHS. The latest contractor that came out was AJ Abella. They reached out to me the same day that I filed the claim then we scheduled an appointment for the tech to come out. They came, took a look, got the parts ordered, and came back about 7 days after. They were here for about 2 hours. Their service was great but we still get intermittent issue with the microwave so I'm gonna call them back up and let them know.
Our air conditioner quit working on one end of the house. I filed the claim on the internet and the AHS website was very easy to work with. They identified the contractor and told me to contact them. A & R Complete Service Corp. showed up promptly, did the job, and we're back in cooling. AHS has been very good. It's very convenient. I get taken care of quite well.
I’m pretty happy with American Home Shield. The warranty is doing exactly what we had intended it to do and I’ve renewed for another year. When we had a malfunction with our upstairs air conditioning unit, we suffered for a few days so we put in a call. It was a Wednesday and the tech from R & K Heating and Cooling was out the second day. He came out to really diagnose the problem and was able to run it out to the outside portion of the unit where he found a burned out wire and a few other odds and ends. My experience was good because the technician was very determined to get the job done. We were having trouble with the bathtub because my water wouldn't really go down and he had to do a lot of drilling. He had to go back and get another machine. He did the drilling through the wall but that still didn't work. Then he had to go get this friend in the truck to come out and help him do one side of the tub while he did the wall. The drain of the AC was clogged and it backed up and we had a big issue. It soaked a bunch of sheetrock. So we had All American come out and check it. Before they came, I tried to get it to work without air and I did what I could. The tech ended up blowing the rest of what was stopping it out. Submitting a claim to AHS has been pretty easy when the website works. I've had a couple of times where I try to submit and it won't go through. Our kitchen sink had been not draining, and it was over a year or so ago that we first started having the trouble. Also, the washing would leak and wouldn't drain properly. Wilbourn & McCabe came out and worked on that. We had the septic tank pumped and they came back and they resolved the problem. They snaked it and that was fine. But we've been having trouble with the toilet that they replaced for years not flushing properly. It had leaked because it was not draining properly. So, the floor had to repaired. W&W Services did a good job. They were in the neighborhood, gave me a phone call and were able to come a little earlier than they were scheduled and they solved the problem. We've been with American Home Shield for a long time and their contractors have been been very good. But we will get used to somebody coming out on working on the air conditioner or doing something like that for a couple of years, then they'll change contractors. Floyd Services was great. The technician came out quickly on a Saturday and got the issue fixed. He knew exactly what he was doing.
