The program from American Home Shield is great in itself. Over the years, I had been to other places and I ended up with a big bill. But if I use American Home Shield, even though it's so much per month, it's still better off because I can save in the long-run. The pool heater was not starting. The technician from JV Pools came out. He was pretty quick and he got everything started. He just diagnosed it and then fixed it within half an hour. Overall, American Home Shield is pretty quick.
The fan on the outside AC unit had quit spinning. We tried turning it off and then on and that didn’t seem to help. So, we filed the claim and got somebody out. We had turned off the internet to quit wasting electricity since it wasn’t really cooling the house and left it off for days. It turned on immediately. It was working. When you flush the toilet, you could still hear it and then water was still flowing in it. I called it in to American Home Shield and the rep was excellent. She said that they would contact me but I got a text message that the contractor was gonna call me to schedule. They didn’t call me within two days. I had to call AHS again and they sent another request to Mr. Rooter. The rep came in and did the work. He knew exactly what he said it was. I asked for the locks to be rekeyed as part of the policy coverage. I filed the claim with Home Shield online and found the website to be very user-friendly. A Friendly Locksmith's service was fairly good. It was quick and straightforward.
So far, things have been good with AHS. I had a leak in my AC's pipe and my unit wasn't working. I submitted a claim online to AHS and it took about two days for their contractor Greenway Home Services to come out. Then, it took another week for them to come back with the part that needed to be replaced.
I had a problem with my garage door sensor one time. AHS sent Garage Door Experts to my home to do service. The tech was very knowledgeable. He found the problem very quickly and resolved it. Then, he was on his way. My AHS warranty has been worth every dime I'm paying every month. The people they send are timely. I couldn't ask for a better home warranty company.
I have only done two claims and it was the same company, D & S Plumbing. Both times, they were fantastic. I'm not hard to please as long as they fix the problem, and they fixed the problem both times with ease. They showed up in a time window and all that good stuff.
